First of all, why did Deepika even consider Vanga’s project? I mean, none of the female actors in his films have seen any significant revival or positive change in their careers. Triptii was reduced to just a glam doll. Rashmika gained popularity among Hindi-speaking audiences after Pushpa, but Animal didn’t bring any drastic shift in her career. The actresses in his movies are merely props to elevate the male characters' masculinity.

All I’ve seen are articles quoting that Deepika wasn’t happy with the character offered to her due to some bold scenes. That sounds more like a PR-generated article. But what was actually disclosed? Bold scenes are pretty much a given in all of Vanga’s films,so is it really a surprise?

That said, I’m disappointed with Deepika’s choice of films lately. If she and her team could focus more on filmmakers like Shoojit Sircar, and be flexible with remuneration based on a film’s overall budget, her fans could actually see her in a substantial role with a meaningful performance.

But these days, it feels like she’s mostly chasing money and somewhere along the way, she's lost that creative drive. Other than Pathaan, I haven’t watched a Hindi film in theatres for more than four years. That wasn’t the case earlier. Directors like Vanga have really spoiled the mainstream movie-watching experience. Most mainstream Hindi films today are either remakes or feel like classroom experiments for the nepo kids.

It will be a while before DP takes on something like Piku. Maybe when her daughter is a couple of years older.Right now,BW and Big films need her desperately..as you have seen the meltdown with Spirit.With every small film she does..a Big Budget film will suffer.In a couple of years hopefully there will be more heroines.

The last 5 films she did , trying to get pregnant.She completed all 5 on time ,All of them are hits she had a baby too(late pregnancy) .That hustle was an olympic feet.

at this time in her life, Big producers can give her every comfort she needs.Budget is not a problemm.She is doing multiple films.Her roles will certainly be better..as pregnancy is not an issue..and she helped deliver 3 1000 Crs film!!

I just LOVE it people want to believe that BBs don't matter.They would love to see her do films that Alia,Ananya,bhoomi do. Dozens can do them.

Can THEY do any of Deepika's films.NAME THEM.

The terror that people have..and you witnessed yesterday .is that Every Big film needs her. No one can do what she can.

She will get her RamLeela,Padmavati etc..There is so much time.Actresses much older are doing great work. What ever she does next , with big central roles ,will be larger than life and big budget.Opportunities will come.

That Deepika liked the great role..that She was getting paid so much..Who do you think planted all that LOL..Such frantic reports..and they all collapsed.

You are left with..why did she meet Vanga. Finally it is the films one does. Deepika is NOT doing Spirit. But she managed to do enough damage.How much damage ..we will know.
