Couldn’t that legacy have continued with Hrithik as an actor? He’s already more famous and successful as an actor than his father ever was as a filmmaker, outside of Hrithik starring movies that is. This would have made more sense if he was taking over as a producer.

My guess is they couldn’t find a capable director willing to agree to their vision and the ones that would agree with them wasn’t up to their standards. So Hrithik decided to DIY this movie, with YRF’s money.

Maybe the father and son duo are not finding a director who could capture that underdog masala like the 90s. And as Roshan Sr is old, Roshan Jr is taking up the mantle. It could go horribly wrong if not done right.

Hrithik has been an assistant director since even before he's become an actor, and he's been ghost directing a lot of his films (probably even War 2 since Adi is putting his faith in him). I feel like he's going to serve hard tbh 🔥

He's having health issues, survived cancer so I don't think he has the physical stamina to go through the direction of such intense movie which also is one of the biggest sequels. Hrithik has been available in every move and every aspect of this franchise and was assistant director to Rakesh Roshan for his movies before KNPH. The most logical decision is to Hrithik taking over the baton. And with Adi Chopra inputs, they literally have 2 experienced directors and the guy who's literally krrish. Let's see how it pans out

Why not? Adi Choora's entire PH is about spy universe now and we all know how the idea of this universe started

I think this will be good, nice pivot for Hrithik..he has been directing with RR for last couple of movies. He is the right person to carry forward his legacy.
