I'm disappointed with Tripti Dimri

I haven’t watched bulbul and qala so cannot speak for her acting in those movies

But I did watch animal and bad news and found her acting below average especially in bad news. She didn’t come across as a natural and confident performer. I also don’t find her pretty

And yes she’s making horrible choices with the kind of movies she’s signing

The songs are Very good. The Jano Samjho Na and Tum Jo Mile

The key to one's career in BW is exposure. Yes, the right exposure brings more offers. More offers will result into a better remuneration.

Her exposure, looks and acting ability. In that order!

She must be trying to bag better roles....but ultimately she has to pick up from whatever is offered to her, right?

I agree with you but not everyone is in this industry to be known as talented .. in todays age people want fame they want money. Clearly she got more noticed after doing Animal and that shows you what the audience wants.

But i will say she is below average and doing commercial movies exposed her capabilities. Her voice is highly irritating especially when shes high pitched and acting is unbearable but hey if anaya, jhanvis can get 100 chances then so should she.
