Even if it's overpraise, they sat next to each other for the entirety of the roundtable and could say positive things about each other, if there was an actual issue they wouldn't have even sat next to each other, they would have avoided each other, but they didn't.

Ranveer and shahid even interacted many times before padmavat released, ranveer was even invited and attended shahids wedding reception, here is a pic of them at the reception. Only people you like and get along with are invited to your reception.

Some more pics of them interacting over the years, they have always shared warm vibes with each other, so honestly it seems like the bigger issue was between shahid and slb and whatever expectations slb may have given shahid with the role or whatever expectations shahid had in his own mind about the film and the reaction to it. That has nothing to do with ranveer and deepika.

Shahid is like Abishekh in Dhoom movies, nobody cared why they’re there as long as bank loots are happening.

Atleast Abhi never cried after the movie have been released and the thieves became icons.

But Shahid was much forgettable in Padmavat. Heck I cant recall his char name as well. RS stole the show !

Haider, UP, Ishq Vishq, KS, JWM (Aditya Kashyap, forever dream-man) are his shows ! But Padmavat, unfortunately no.

Some roles just aren’t meant for everyone, it’s a tough pill to swallow, but no matter how talented you are, you can’t nail every role. Padmaavat was Ranveer’s movie, no doubt. He got the role of a lifetime and absolutely devoured it. Honestly, if it weren’t for the last scene, I’d probably forget Deepika was even in it.

but the point is even if the role isn't meant for him, listen to what he is saying, they treated him differently, why would you treat a colleague like that, when he has invited you to your wedding even.

Shahid hasn't taken anyones name, he did not say ranveer or deepika treated him differently, even after padmavat released ranveer and shahid have met each other warmly.

I feel shahid just struggled with overall how a slb set works, slb works in a very different way, he does not pamper his actors, he changes scenes at the last minute, he can change a full dialogue scene to just one dialogue and vice versa. Ranveer and deepika already knew how slb's set operates and had tackled slb's difficult style of directing. And yes slb is the one who decides how his film is edited, he cuts out scenes, reshoots scenes as per how he decides. Shahid even mentioned on kwk that his issue was with the screen time, so thats a issue he has with slb. Even rk had said after saawairya that he would be hesitant to work with slb again because of his tough style of film making.

Shreya goshal had recorded for many more songs for padmavat, but only one song, ghoomar, made it in the film, she even spoke about being upset that the other songs were not included but she understood that it's upto slb what makes it into the film, shreya has worked with slb since the her debut

Also, i feel when some people said shahid was a misfit for the role, that rattled and effected him, because I don't think shahid has had that reaction before.

Not to victim blame, but Shahid has always come off as super salty and bitter. (Yeah, I’m the same way in real life, so I get him, but I also know my flaws.) He’s had issues with most of his co-stars, which is probably one reason he didn’t reach the heights he could have, even though he’s more talented than a lot of his contemporaries. KJo wasn’t exactly kind to Ranveer either, but you’ve got to find a way to get along with people and your co-stars. Shahid just hasn’t figured that out yet.

Padmavati was central to why the war happend, it was a war to fight for her, khilji was trying to capture her and ratan was trying to protect her, that's why its called padmaavat.
