Shahid talks negatively about Padmaavat cast and crew? - Page 2

As soon as I saw the clip, I immediately knew it's taken out of context just watch the full question here at 22:40, there is not a single mention of padmavat, slb, rs or dp. Shahid just spoke about a time we're he felt lesser, he didn't specify anything, but ofcourse the haters will immediately start blaming padmavat and ranveer.

He even said he wasn't forced to feel that way and it was nobodies fault, so even let's say he was talking about padmavat, he isnt blaming anyone that he was compared to rs, it just happend as they are two actors in a movie and that's what the media and audience does. So that was more of internal struggle he went through, where the other actor ended up getting praised more, and shahid said that was something he had to deal with and get out of that head space.

Because let's face it, ranveer did have the more impactful role, he made more of an impression, he did get more praise, and I can imagine that it could have been difficult for shahid and he felt less at that time. Dp had a more impactful role aswell, but its not something ranveer or dp should be blamed for, that's just how the audience and media reacted,

Maybe slb gave shahid expectations, who knows, but then that's an issue with slb. But shahid isnt a victim here, as even on paper ratan singh was not the stronger character, khilji was stronger which is why slb wanted ranveer to do the role and offered it to him even when they were filming BM. But chalo, this has given shahid some pr for deva as people are disscussing this because people just love to throw hate towards rs and dp even though both have not said anything in response to the things shahid has said and have only said nice things about him

He has always disliked singh and he never minced his words about his dislike for him either..i do remember everything became about ranveer during the release..he was actually brilliant but shahid was no less either..he had a good role and he performed brilliantly too..dp actually had the worst role but they have solid PR and they milked padmavat as their movie alone and shahid distanced himself from the project. The very next year, he shut them all with KS but he was robbed again when he wasn't awarded for it which he totally deserved instead they gave it to none other than singh for gully boy..

He should not hold grudge like that because he was not the main character.

His character was appreciated by audience. Aur kya chahiye? Audience support is what matters.

Shahid would have been totally fine if his role was praised more, but because that didn't happen he is acting like he has been wronged somehow.

Ranveer and deepika were cast as khilji and padmavati near the end of the shoot for Bajirao mastani, that shows that they are the most important roles of the film. Shahid got cast literally a few days before they started filming padmavat, he agreed to do the role knowing full well that ranveer and deepika had been cast a long time ago and he was joining the film so close to the start shoot date.

Also ranveer and deepika had done two movies with slb prior to padmavat, they knew how slb works and knew how to interact with him and had already established a relationship with him. As this was shahid's first time working with slb then it will obviously take time to get used to slbs unique style of directing and form that bond, again, no blame should be put on either slb, rs and dp for that.

How the audience reacts and critiques a performance is not to be blamed on co-actors or the director, so just take it with a pinch of salt and move on, the film did well and shahid was a part of it, be proud of the film and your performance instead of putting a negative impression on it.

There were some rumours that RS got lot other actors scenes cut to lengthen his own scenes. Shahid did not get along well with them during the making i guess.

Guess Ranbir is more professional. Even during Animal promotions he gave equal importance to Bobby.

Rs has starred with many male actors before, he did gunday with arjun kapoor, kill dil with ali zafar, DDD with farhan and a huge star cast, he did 83 with a large cast of male actors and there were many scenes that ranveer was not in, not a single one of them spoke of any issues working with ranveer and no one said ranveer wanted to steal the limelight or cut their scenes. And slb does not listen to any actor on how he edits his films, slb only does what he wants.

Even during the whole controversy of padmavat, the films team told ranveer to not promote and stay quiet, ranveer listened to them, only shahid and deepika promoted before the film released. Ranveer only gave interviews after the film released.

So ranveer did not ask for anyones scenes to get cut, he didn't even promote the film before it released, and all of his costars have spoken about how professional he is. What shahids experience was on the set, only he knows what his own issue was

And bobby deol had a 15 minute role in a film full of 3 hours of rk, so thats not equal at all, i feel bobby deserved more screentime in the film. But even with 15 mins bobby didn't complain, he was proud of his contribution to the film and happy with the films success, and that's how you should react, not be insecure and not get rattled

Maybe more to do with the director not keeping some promise about the length of the role.

Anyways he should forget about it and move on.

Never forget that Deepika got Vicky kicked out of the film because he was "Beneath her". If anyone was wronged, it was him. Karma is a funny thing though, considering Vicky is the one working with SLB now.

Also Shahid has said multiple times that he has nothing against Ranveer. It's just that his loud, obnoxious, flamboyant energy doesn't gel with his especially since he's making a conscious effort to embrace his spiritual side. But more importantly Shahid doesn't consider Ranveer an equal(as an actor), so that probably upsets him more than anything else that a lesser actor got all the Lines, all the screen-time and all the praise.

Here are pics of slb, shahid, rs and deepika celebrating the success of the film, i mean if rs, dp and slb were so bad and vindictive then shahid wouldn't be there smiling and cutting a cake with them. And this wasn't a public event, no paps were there, pics were taken by a crew member.

And shahid has met and hugged ranveer after padmavat aswell at award shows

why does it matter if gives his opinion, ranbir had said he wouldn't work with slb before before he would degrade the actors.... big deal he spoke his mind instead of the usual boring one word interview. at least he gives some gossip
