Exactly watch all public reviews. Everyone is crediting Shraddha at ground level. Toolkit trying hard to discredit her but everyone knows on ground who has real star power smiley36 so does not matter. Even makers know their USP thats why in every promo and songs Shraddha was given most importance. Khoobsoorat song was not even in movie, just was shot for buzz from shraddha smiley16

Please don't get me started on Darlings. See how snake-like KJo is that Gehraiyaan was his own production but he purposefully had the media review blitz it with negativity to try and make it an OTT flop. He wanted to destroy Deepika in order to prop up his own adopted daughter. So Darlings got all the good press and Gehraiyaan was labeled a flop. Yet, when you look at the actual OTT streaming numbers which were posted on IF, we saw that Gehraiyaan was the biggest OTT hit of the year. Had the most viewers easily, despite PR claiming the film tanked. Meanwhile, Darlings, which PR claimed was a hit, was at the bottom of the list and barely anyone watched. About a dozen OTT films had more viewers.

So going back to those who claim that Alia should be viewed as a success because she was not an Esha Deol or Uday Chopra, note that neither of those two (not even Uday Chopra with all of YRF behind him) had a godfather in the industry who was so cunning and desperate that they would purposefully try and make their own production films a flop in order to destroy the careers of rival actors to prop up those 2000s nepobabies. This is something unique to Alia with her KJo dynamic. And even then, KJo not only failed to destroy Gehraiyaan, but his plan backfired as Alia's mega-flops have instead destroyed KJo's empire. He has lost audience trust, goodwill, and now his company is falling apart after back to back disasters like Kalank and Brahmastra. Alia's only box office power is to destroy her own godfather's company. smiley36

You guys just make anything up. KJo did not destroy his own movie.

And the only reason Gehraiyaan would have more views is simply because it came on Amazon which is cheaper and hence has WAY more subscribers than Netflix does. You cannot compare movies on two separate platforms.

Nor was Gehraiyaan a big hit on OTT.

He literally sabotaged Sushant with a crappy movie, Shraddha with a crappy Ok Jaanu movie. It’s the best way launder money and take out enemies of Gangu.

Now you're twisting facts up. Netflix is the streaming service with the most subscribers.

Currently, Netflix is still at the top of the list, boasting 247 million subscribers, according to Forbes, followed by Amazon Prime with 200 million and Disney+ with 150 million. https://www.statesman.com/story/news/2024/06/20/tubi-had-more-viewers-in-may-than-disney-peacock-what-to-know-streaming-netflix/74157452007/

Also Netflix is the cheapest at $6.99 per month. Amazon Prime is $14.99 per month.

https://www.complex.com/pop-culture/a/backwoodsaltar/tubi-biggest-month-yet-beat-disney-plus

So not only is Netflix cheaper but it has more subscribers so on both counts, Darlings should have had the advantage according to you. Yet Gehraiyaan was the most watched OTT film and about a dozen films beat Darlings. You can claim otherwise but there is a thread here with the official numbers and many of us not only saw it but discussed it so it's hardly some lie. I've made it too easy for you by posting the facts straight for you so now you can do some work and find that thread yourself if someone else isn't kind enough to post it here for your benefit.

Please do your homework next time because such subpar work will be marked fail by your teachers. smiley2

This is why I have no sympathy for him going bankrupt. He's so vile the way he plays with people's lives. Esha Deol, Uday Chopra, Fardeen Khan, Tusshar Kapoor would all be considered stars if KJo had done this for them in the 2000s. There is no comparison because no one has ever had this treatment that Alia gets where her godfather deliberately hires her rivals and produces for them subpar products to destroy their careers.
