Watched Shaitaan last weekend and RK Madhavan blew me away. The girl who played Ajay Devgan's daughter was fantastic, and so was the actress portraying his wife. But seriously, RK Madhavan stole the show. It's crazy how many great performances we've already seen this year. Some of my favorites in no particular order

Parineeti and Diljeet in Chamkila

Bhumi in Bakshak

Nitanshi Goel, Sparsh Srivastav and Pratibha Ranta in Lapaata Ladies

Kareena and Tabu in Crew

Manisha Koraila, Sanjeeda Sheikh and Sonakshi Sinha in Heeramandi

Konkona Sen Sharma in Killer Soup

I agree. Madhavan was fantastic as the villain in the film. One of the most phenomenal actors we currently have, so underrated as well. Ajay was super good too, but yeah the girl who played his daughter was the most surprising. Never saw her before but she was so good in the film, the new lot should learn something from her! The only performances I genuinely liked in Heera Mandi were of Sanjeeda and Aditi.

The girl-actress also played the role in the original Gujarati film (Vash) and the mother-role had been done by Jyothika (Tamilstar Suriya's wife).

I agree with you about Shaitaan, Chamkila and Bakshak...have yet to watch LL and the Crew ...no interest in Heeramandi but will look up Killer Soup. smiley1

Watched Shaitaan yesterday. I liked everybody's performance. The story in itself is so scary. I wish the movie was 30mins short though...it would be more impactful.

Shaitaan surprised me too cuz I don’t expect Bollywood and horror movies to mix well together. Madhavan never fails to impress, and he totally owned his role. The guy's talent is off the charts. The girl also held her own, along with the rest of the cast.
