Well in real life people are more practical, I knew it was just a film but Naina was under the impression that Aman was a married man, so she had to let go of her feelings for him. When Rohit proposed to her she wasn’t all that happy, she just accepted because he seemed like the next best choice since he was her best friend and already loved her a lot, so it was pretty clear that she was just settling for him at that time. Also when she got to know of Aman’s condition, by then it was already too late, Aman was on his death bed and she was already engaged to Rohit, but I didn’t like how he tried to manipulate the situation, like it was his last dying wish, to see Naina happy because he loved her back. While I agree that our loved ones just want to see us happy, even after leaving this world, it’s basic human nature, but he should have let Naina decide if she wanted to marry Rohit or grieve for him, at least give her some time to wrap her vulnerable mind around the curveballs thrown at her one after another, I mean in such a fragile state of mind, I didn’t like how she was married off to another guy when even on her wedding day she was weeping for Aman. I liked Kedarnath’s ending in this regard, if you have seen that film, after the guy’s death, they didn’t show the girl married to another man while reminiscing about him, like they do in a typical BW film, instead she decided to do charity and help people to honour the sacrifice he made, because she genuinely loved him, now I am not saying that people shouldn’t move on, but sometimes they don’t have to if they don’t want to.
In highway movie too, Alia's character became independent and lived on her own after the guy's death. Though it was not a romantic movie. I too like movies where the hero/heroine chooses not to marry after lover's death.
Veer Zaara for me.
I have watched KHNH long back and did not feel like a full rewatch even though I love the songs and few individual scenes. The death at the end makes me sad and I also did not like that Naina settled for Rohit ( and Aman manipulated her into falling for Rohit).
Veer Zaara had many things to hook me more - concept of star crossed lovers separated by boundaries, sacrifice, identity loss and gain, courtroom scenes, reunion, beautiful songs and SRK looking like a million dollars.
Seriously, Veer Pratap Singh was my laptop wallpaper for a long time.
In the song "Mai yahaan hoon", both SRK and Preity look absolutely gorgeous 😍
Until they rectify the fact that they took Rohit totally for granted, and that the most important day of Rohit’s life was filled with undeserving gloom and highlights on Aman-Naina, KHNH is never gonna work on me. Rohit deserved to marry Naina in a better way; in a better mood; and for a better reason. It was more of a love story of Rohit-Naina loving Aman, and that didn’t work for me.
If I take out the tragic element from the film, Aman literally manipulated both into marriage, that “6 din ladki in” crap. Also, that diary reading scene, where he was confessing his own feelings but showed it as if Rohit was the one who wrote all that. You can’t force feelings for someone, Naina didn’t like Rohit that way, so why was she emotionally blackmailed into marrying himOriginally posted by: prerna4rishav

Veer Zaara
I remember crying at the speech srk gives in court after jail time. I am not someone who cries that much which is bad thing since we are not supposed to hold emotions inside but I had tears in that scene, it was so sad. I don’t like sad movies, I thought it was going to be a happy movie. Loved srk in both movies but veer Zaara voted as his best. He should do another movie with preity since her Botox face is back to her usual self now, salman also should hire preity.
Veer Zaara cause it had more Udit than Sonu

although the song stood out from the soundtrack are 3 tere leye hum hain jeye , main yahan and do pal ..... but anyday khnh i enjoy the most as a film ....veer zara is like wannabie classic
Veer Zaara took itself seriously with wholesome character arch’s and beautiful story while KHNH was just made to elevate this useless dying character called Aman with God complex and bad acting.
Although I like Aman (except manipulation part) in KHNH, I will vote for Veer-Zaara.
If I had been of Naina's place, I would have call-off my marriage with Rohit and marry to soon to dead Aman. I would have give him confidence to marry me.
I love SRK's acting in both movies. Both are entertaining movies, my favorites!
Apparently SRK fan called Ram Sharma leaked the movie online https://x.com/salmanicarman/status/1906265773946880184?s=46...

Both have been given a tremendous opportunity in Bollywood, and seem to have connected with their audiences. Will this hopefully lead to huge...
