Bold: I disagree. When you know the person is joking your instinct can be anything from matching their behavior to yelling to ignoring. Taking a defensive posture IMO is instinctive only when you are afraid they might hurt you. Maybe this is more about KJo himself than Kajol but … ugh.

I don't know. I feel it depends on your equation with the person involved. It may seem odd to a third party, but if you have been friends as long as they have been with many ups and downs, that relationship is different. Even siblings fights are like this. You know they/you/ won't throw that item in hand; but you threaten all the same. KJo was also laughing throughout.
Anyway, to each their own. I didn't see anything wrong. Kajol is known to be cray. It felt business as usual to me, even Rani didn't seem too surprised.
