I absolutely can relate to Aish not wanting to have witnesses to her weight gain (more than absolutely necessary), it's only this kind of behaviour that I also know from five-star-hotel-expensive-suites booking people who take everything possible with them (like: I-take-everything-I-can-get-without-paying)...Why even rich people won't think like that???

Since we are quoting Masand of all people, takes me back to the time when Kat threw her weight around the sets filming chikni chameli. Excuses given by Kat stans for her ordering expensive fruit baskets were male stars do it too and more extravagantly. Hypocritical of them to bring up Aish, same people doing it albeit with new IDs.

I still don't get how it is wrong for someone to ask for perks on a job?

Whoever it is, they're not demanding someone do them a favor. They're including perks as part of their payment.

Why would the organizers get someone of that stature for cheap? And a fruit basket, however expensive, seems rather a trivial thing to ask for.

Beats me, Aish and the measley bourbon biscuits was brought into the discussion in a feeble attempt to band her with AB senior whereas the 2 scenarios are like comparing apples and oranges.

Very common here to forcefully push square pegs into a round hole whether the context demands it or not.
