Last movie of SRK which failed to cross $10M mark in overseas was Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi in 2008, even his disasters like Zero crossed $10M mark in overseas

As I said, sometimes I don't understand if you are praising SRK or trolling him 🤔

It's not a headline. It's a random fan tweet from an SRK fan. Don't post flame bait if you don't like the heat.

Again, please let me know what is the point of this thread. Clearly, we are not supposed to bring up other stars touching international benchmarks or disagree with the original claim. Then why did you post a random fan tweet without any substance on the front page?

Wrong!

Maroon and Zeal did it

I also agreed to your statement about Dangal (I wrote "correct")...then I only wrote about comparing movie's boxoffice records (and not actor's) in the same response...all in agreeing to Dangal's position ("records still valuable").

About the numbers, I wrote: "good for him. also good for Indian Cinema?" Did I got a response to that?

Yes, a bit, mentioning the Chinese market.

It doesn't make sense to me to try to show you how your biais towards me/SRK interfered in the good comments you brought (whose relevance I acknowledged).

It's what - far too often - comes in the way of a healthy discussion... I cannot be the only one who has no biais towards any of SRK's colleagues workwise...their successes don't change SRK's successes....I am sad when his work doesn't get the recognition I wish him but that doesn't make me jealous of the successes of collegues (that's only in some members' imagination/perception).

So, well, what do you think...could SRk's two current successes be good for Indian Cinema internationally...and could they be good (in addition to Gadar 2's success) be good for the national Cinema?

That's right for opening new markets (like Peru) and making people not really familiar with Indian Cinema more curious.

I hope that with Jawan also the south Indian style of movie making gets more curiosity (especiall with RRR going to the Oscars which was an expensive but certainly good move).

You either get to backtrack or gaslight. Pick a lane smiley36

No, that was the fan who did it, I just used the numbers and the provoking headline... my question went another way opening the field to the future of Indian Cinema...

Don't close your mind because of me/SRK...open it to Indian Cinema...SRK is the starting point if you choose so.

There is only the lane you would choose yourself...I myself have picked it: the future of Indian Cinema...

You want to keep fixed to your biais? Then you'll keep on place...your choice smiley16

It could be that I'm trolling those who think I would do nothing else relative to SRK than praising him...and those who don't focus on the subject given in a clear question. smiley2

I like that SRK looks after himself, but also towards a better future... for India, for Indian Cinema...and he does that since a very long time...

Edit: Just to mention it again: yes, Aamir got into the Chinese market and made Hindi Cinema a better known film industry...but the fist step was done by SRK...so there, he was good for the future of Indian Cinema (better: Hindi Cinema)...

Gaslighting with an hint of incoherence. Solid choice!
