Gadar came in 2001. AN in 2003 the same team made Hero (launched Priyanka) and it was the all time opener at that time. Also had a huge budget over budget perhaps. Maybe Anil Sharma learned his lesson 😆

and then have the audacity to shit on makers of dch and Lagaan who have delivered with far more consistency in the last 20 years and also had several new talents inspired by their work

Calm down. Nowhere did I claim Anil Sharma to be a legendary director. You are making up things on your own and getting frustrated about it. Go back and read my post again. I repeat, left to these people, they will drive Hindi Cinema completely out of the theaters and Hollywood will takeover like it did the Europe and rest of the world except India and a few other countries.

I think if we did a side by side by side of Ashu G and Farhan and Anil I think Anil would have the better Box office. But I will let Sameer bring the final details 😆

Sweets, frustration is what u said abt “these people” …No one is driving Hindi cinema out …merely saying both styles of cinema can exist and thrive

Having a more “massy” style is not automatically superior …evidenced by the massy blockbusters delivered by “those people” in the last 20 years

Having a more subtle “European” whatever that is, style is not inferior
