Loved the film. I went after all the good reviews from the critics I trust and was not one bit disappointed.

Hope k and k get such roles more. Kiara especially, I liked her now after guilty.

Gajraj and Kartik share such good chemistry.

Respect to director Sameer vidwans for packaging such a subject nicely and making the audience sit and watch it

She did try to get physically intimate with her husband after she became comfortable with his touch, but they couldn’t have just shown her being okay with it just after some time of their marriage, it doesn’t work like that, it’s a very sensitive issue and she did make it clear to him that she might not ever be able to get normal with that thing, heck she didn’t even want to marry him or anyone else in the first place because the poor girl never got a proper chance or time and her family’s support to get out of her trauma and to forget the tragic thing that happened with her.Yes a part of me just like you wished to see her slowly taking steps to overcome her pain and try and start leading a normal married life but the writers had to keep a r*pe victim’s mental state in mind as well, remember his mother did tell him that slowly and surely she would start getting healed with his love and support, even though those scars won’t ever be fully gone, that was a powerful line, it was more like an open ending for them, who knows may be after some time she did get fully comfortable in his presence and started living a normal life, and even if she couldn’t, it’s completely okay and that was her choice, the best thing was that her husband understood her pain,her vulnerable state, her comfort level, her fears etc and fully supported her in everything.

That's the problem, the story wasnt executed well I think the first half was slow and the second half was too rushed.

Technically, it was her husband who got the rapist punished and not her. She just agreed to it after some convincing.

I wouldve liked it though if at the end she told him that "I hope I can heal one day and live a normal life", instead of saying that she will never heal or get intimate with him. Idk the ending wouldve just felt more positive.

*Spoilers* Exactly this! Even I am glad they didn’t necessarily have to show them consummate their marriage at the end since the girl was a r*pe victim ffs! Firstly she was forcefully married off to a guy she barely knew, who sneaked into her house at night, even though he saved her life but still I found it wrong! I ain’t saying that he kept on pursuing her since he was decent enough to back off once he saw that she was committed and was possibly still in love with her ex boyfriend (the second time he met her) but before their marriage he didn’t even bother asking her that why she tried to take her own life and if she was okay with this marriage, he was just desperate to get hitched by hook or crook! I do think he was a lovely and appreciative husband, never forced or questioned his wife for anything even though she kept denying him physical intimacy(when he didn’t know her secret of course) but I liked how he later accepted that she might not be able to fully recover and she made it quite clear to him and even offered to lead a separate life so that he doesn’t have to bear the repercussions of her trauma, and the best thing is that he understood all that and still accepted her whole heartedly.

**spoiler** actually they did show happy ending of katha n satyaprem sleeping together (hinting consummation) in last scene which appears after the last dance song with end credits. Don't know why they showed the consummation shot after that end credits dance song coz audience starts leaving during end credit songs

Although I achieved to scroll over every spoiler warning, I think, a seperate discussion thread always should be done...including reviews with spoilers (okay, I didn't open one).

With movies like that, this kind of thread always could be declared spoiler-free in the title already - couldn't it?
