Read up rape cases. There have been legit cases where women have filed cases against men who they have had children with and won. It doesn’t matter what the circumstances are, and whatever relationship you have or don’t have. There is no justification for rape.

And wow…. The way Kiara’s character reacted was an overreaction?? Sorry!…. Do you know how many women ACTUALLY take their life after being raped ! My god what am I reading here? There are very few moments in my life where I have been triggered and this is one of them. This is downright disgusting.

Bruh people with this mindset that it is okay to rape a girl just because she loves you or in a relationship with you, unko aisi movies dekhne se bhi koi farak nahi parega. They'll continue blaming the girl for allowing her partner to go so far and then stopping him when it's too late. Isn't that how our society behaves when such an incident happens in real life?

They won't question "why did he get physical with her without her consent", instead they will ask "why did she allow him to come to her room?" or "why did she go out with him alone?"

Went to this movie completely blind (hadn’t even watched the trailer). Infact a discussion thread here caught my attention.

And man am I glad that I did. This was actually a good watch. I know some people have complained that it’s too sugarcoated, it’s not serious/dark enough etx but that’s how the maker/writer wanted to portray the story I guess. As long as the message and meaning holds, how does it matter?
Some dialogues may Sound preachy but given the mindset of people, sometimes on-your-face lectures are needed (even though I usually prefer subtly).

I am not a Kiara fan but she was excellent in this movie. Kartik to me always feels like a hangover from his PKP days. The supporting cast is good, infact nowadays in most movies the supporting cast has such good actors that they elevate the leads’ performance.

Some also mentioned that it has a male savior complex … so what? That’s the story they wanna tell. And how is having a supportive man/partner a bad thing?

The movie tried to show a serious issue in a massy way - as long as it’s a good watch, I am all for it.

Tbh the trailer wasn't even interesting as it revealed nothing about the story, but I loved the movie

Finally watched the movie on prime…2.5/5 from my side. I can’t explain it but something was missing in the movie..Kiara - is it me or like Shraddha she has also got something done to her face..Ki was already perfect but in the first half her face looks chiselled and strange like Shraddha..her performance though was just smiley32 I specially loved the scene with Sattu’s family where she tells them about the rape ..it was a very very important topic..but I feel like they just rushed through the climax…I would have loved to see Katha going to therapy..Sattu and her taking baby steps for her to recover from the horrifying trauma of rape..Kartik as Sattu was just the usual Kartik TBH..He really needs to revamp himself..and I was almost going to throw the remote when he started again with the problem yeh hai dialogue..just stop with PKP dialogues already!! It’s not funny anymore. Direction was ok..but nothing spectacular or gripping tbh..in parts it even looked too much TV serialish…also no Gujjus don’t name their daughters Diwali and Christmas smiley37 comeon woh kucch bhi tha smiley36...the only thing I am really glad about is that this movie, like Pink drives the point of NO MEANS NO strongly..unfortunately it’s the garbage Bolly movies which promoted nonsense like Naa main bhi haan hai bakwaas..and now we do need movies like this to drill it into the heads of men that NOOOOOOO is a resounding Noooooooo only. Sattu beating the heck out of Tapan was awesome!! Also great to see Siddharth Randariya as the father..he is a legend in Gujarati plays ..he has done so many blockbuster plays and even been a part of some lovely Gujju movies..he was pretty good onscreen in SPK as well..I liked Pasoori new version in the context of the movie..otherwise the original music could have been far better! The Garba songs were such a disappointment!! Blaah! All in all…watchable for what they tried to attempt and for Kiara and Kartik’s post wedding sequence..

I liked the movie and it dealt with a sensitive subject well.

One of the movies where I really liked Kartik's acting. I loved satyaprem's character we need more men like him in society. Rape is rape even if it's your boyfriend or even husband.

Kiara Kartik have great chemistry and acted well. Special mention to Gajraj rao

I liked Satya and Katha's friendship phase most and when Satya beat up Tapan

I actually watched this movie in the theatre and on OTT as I really liked it

I liked aaj ke baad, naseeb se and le aaunga songs

I loved the music, and the movie touches some subjects which are not really talked about in Bollywood movies. The story was so different. The twist was unpredictable.

The movie was so realistic and not the typical fairytale romance.

Everyone is saying that the movie belongs to Kiara, however I loved Satyaprem more. He was so perfect. I cried with him.smiley19

SPOILER AHEAD:

The ending could have been better. I found Katha to be a weak character. I wanted to see her as a survivor who comes out of her trauma and starts living a normal life. Sadly, they never showed that.

I also liked Satya more

for victims many never come out of it but they showed them sleeping together intimately
