I am a bollywood lover.but its true that in tamil and malayalam outsiders get more respect than how bollywood treats outsiders.even tamilians and malayalees complain about the nepotism in telugu.i am not completely against nepotism.because I like many of the nepo kids of bollywood and tollywood.

Every 2nd famous actor you know come from movie or political background. But the excuse the haters give that those nepotism products are better actors than Bollywood ones and they respect outsiders which Bollywood don't do. Matlab kuch bhi.

Yes.a few tollywood actors were also caught.2 of them were famous actors too.

Yes....masala south movies with cheap dance numbers and romantic bollywood movies with many intimate scenes in the recent times can't be watched with family members.

Vahi to. Bollywood haters are so blind in hate that they will excuse anything on South movies. Bollywood are even accused of doing drugs as if South Industry are saints. Remember how during lockdown and SSR incident how a part of Sandalwood Industry were stuck in drug scandal. These blind haters will ruin the fun of Bollywood for their children in the next generation. 8 out of 10 Bollywood movies are watchable with family while for South movies I have to use fast forward button time to time when watching with family. They don't understand where to tone down a graphic scene or make it less graphic. I loved RRR movie but I had to fast forward Ramcharan's entry scene a little due to too much stretching of that violent scene since I was watching with parents. If I say this on twitter or any other social media I will be badly trolled on ignoring our culture and even sl*t-shamed.

North-South & East-West games ... 😃

Another example of some 'post-colonial bad habits' that some Indians refuse to get rid of 👍🏼

Lol. When the bootlickers from the north suddenly started hailing South, that too for the very things they were dissing the BW, people from the south were laughing their behinds off at the hypocrisy and idiocy.😅

You can't club South together as one industry. But what all of them get right is that the characters in the movies are *usually* more real and grounded. The actors might be sophisticated, rich and city-bred. But if they are asked to play a small-town,rural,lower-class character they can easily switch because they've seen enough life outside their bubble. Their faces and bodies haven't been to the plastic surgeon as much as a typical Bollywood starlet. Look at Dhanush. He built his career on this brash,lower-class loser lover boy persona when he comes across so different in his interviews.

Bollywood writers, directors and actors seem out of touch with anything outside their urban mileau. Not entirely their fault. The paparazzi keeps them firmly bound to their side of their fences.

Ques: Bollywood vs South in terms of insulting the religion ?

Bollywood & South both seem to have this weird 'propensity to entertain' regardle$$ of the religion 😃

Hmm. I don't get you. Why should religion be exempt when cinema tackles every other aspect in life? Even before cinema existed we had temple art performances criticizing prominent citizens and their hypocritical or wrong religious practices with "gentle" mockery. Satire was very much a part of life for our ancestors and they had thick skins. It's just that cinema has taken up that role as the old art forms are dying.

People go to the cinema to mainly be entertained. Adipurush took a chance and went down that religion 'Rabbit Hole' and it's not looking good with returns. Brahmastra 'dodged a bullet' with good PR. Religious angle in cinemas has now become very toxic. 👍🏼
