I believe you are hinting at gender and orientation? Why are you using animal reference here?

Why not come to the point? Scared of being reported for transphobia eh?

The posts itself show what is wrong with old gen mentality.

I do agree kids are too young to be dragged in gender identity debates but there is no need to dismiss this discussion altogether.

If this is wrong then why forcing discussion of hetero norms and marriages or telling little girls from young age that they are paraya dhan or parayi amanat and will go to someone else's house someday, okay? Why singing double meaning and suggestive folk songs and boliyan at sangeets in presence of little kids okay?

Why the double standards?

Let kids be kids and keep all sexual and gender BS away from them no?

What is a mere trend to call mental health or legit discussions about it a trend or something to call cool?

The only time it can be called out is when a person in bad mood thinks he has depression when he has not had any such diagnosis.

Or as, @hearmeroar discussed about someone who was not asexual perhaps.

Using issues lightly is not right. But then if older generation could use words like pagal lightly or joke about Agra or mental hospital, was it okay?

I do not think we need to act holier than thou if older generation has not been a bunch of saints either.

I am glad people are finally opening up and having these convos bravely and honestly instead of bottling it up ans pretending all is fine.

They seek required help through qualified therapists anyway and it is good nowadays we have SM pages and podcasts, helplines, YouTube channels, FB pages and blogs of top therapists freely available online.

And a lot of good support groups as well as mental health services available through video calls in case one has no good therapist available around own city or location.

Quite callous to claim discussing mental health on SM is making it trendy and cool.

Did you even read my post before you responded?? I said nothing about the discussion on mental health. I talked about the obvious mental issues with kids on social media today that people are hailing as cool and trendy. I’m glad we have these discussions, but hardly anyone is interested in an actual mental health discussion these days. A kid saying they are a cat and not human and parents talking about it on social media, complaining how schools aren't providing litter for them to use instead of the bathroom if you call that a "mental health discussion, good for you. I don't consider that discussion at all. Today it's few kids, but soon schools will be filled with more litter than bathrooms, and we have ourselves to blame.

OMG!! you really seem to be out of touch for someone who's ready to fight for a cause.

I'm not the one saying they themself are saying they don't consider themselves humans are rather animals. So, of course, I will use animals because they don't to be called anything but "IT" stop jumping on people and accusing them if you don't know what you're talking about. I won't bother reading the rest of your post.

You think gender identity is a mental health disorder?

Come on. Come to the point.

Honestly that is not exactly seen as a mental health disorder anymore. Not in western nations atleast. India is a different matter.

Earlier some used to call it gender dysphoria but not anymore.

I know what you are hinting at and I am sorry it sounds transphobic though I myself think minors should be kept away from this discussion. Let them grow up and figure out themselves what they really are.

When I responded I thought you were referring to depression, anxiety, suicidal tendencies, BPD etc. I see plenty of older gen types bash today's lot, mock Deepika for discussing depression and bash psychology and laugh off even the term mental health and call it fad or drama or attention seeking or excuse to shirk work.

That is why I responded. I did not know your hint was at something else.

I have no issues using term like 'they' and avoid controversies altogether if someone does not like it. Does not mean I am gonna bash whole generation for it or assume all of em are like that.

I know you respond without reading anyway and you sound like a transphobe and someone who could easily be using terms like snowflakes too.

That’s the only good thing about gen Z if they aren’t fighting over celebrities. 😆

But nah. Dumb BB contestants trend everyday so celeb worship is still here and gonna stay regardless of generation. 🤷‍♀️
