He was the one who was giddy to get that success and attention so soon and most desirable woman and top actress of that time as his GF. It is he who let success go to his head and foolishly tried to act as hero or knight in shining armour by doing that press conf.

Expecting women to behave in a certain way, and men in a certain way is a issue with gender roles. I think Abhishek and his sister have been raised in a way where shweta not being career oriented wouldn't have bothered AB sr and his fam while same will not go for Abhishek. When aish did certain roles obviously AB's family didn't like it, when same cannot be said while abhishek chik dhoomed away.

Patriachal attitudes put burden of conformity on both genders.

i really think aish has already distanced herself from people who don't like her so good for her.

Na, I think the only woman Salman ever “truly” loved was Ash. Their’s was obviously a very passionate love story with 2 head strong people in it. So it didn’t work out .

After Ash, Salman has never fallen head over in heels with any woman. He is just doing time pass without any promise of future and I think the girls (Katrina and Iulia ) are also aware of that .
