To be fair to the team, AB did not bother to promote the film at all. Strictly going by reviews, the movie’s saving grace was the vfx. The team knew it and went on a massive promotion overdrive,p. They relied heavily on the cast to promote it and AB being the senior most member of the cast and biggest name of them all should have headlined the promotions. Do you blame the cast for snubbing him now when the film has made money when all he did before the film’s release was promote the shit outta every other movie except his own. Imagine how they must have felt. With so much money riding on this film , he should kept whatever his ego issues were, aside and promoted it like a,professional. He could have stepped back after the promotions and refused to be a part of the next instalment.

Kjo is also extremely close to the Bachchan family and Shwetdi’s bestie. He could have kept his grudges aside for that alone.

This is probably one of those rare instances where I found AB very unprofessional. I despise him for his antics offscreen but he is of course a legend. But I was pretty surprised with his lack of professionalism here.

I would have done the same as what the cast is doing. Infact they arnt even doing anything wrong. Alia accidentally missed his name and i do not biame her for forgetting him given the guy disassociated himself from the film long back.

on KWK he kept addressing her as Shetttdiii. It sounded even funnier with his fake accent. So now we also fondly call her shwetdi.

Amitabh is pan India's biggest superstar and will always be.

Diplomats, politicians, beauracrats to this day meet and rever him.

You had other actors like Rajesh Khanna or Dev Anand or Rajnikanth and even the 3 Khan's who are well known but Amitabh is the biggest.

Social media may portray pr or followers but when it comes to on the ground, his is a big name.

He and SRK received the highest cheer for Brahmastra followed by Nag actually and almost none for Alia and Ranbir.

I saw the movie twice in both a multiplex and a single screen and same reaction. In fact the second half, Big B was amazing whenever he was on screen, you did not want to see anyone else

It is weird that Amitabh did not promote Brahmastra especially as his daughter is good friends with Karan and Ranbir is her family.

There seems to be quite a bit of professional fall out as Amitabh Bachchan is one of the most professional actors (also why he has so much respect in the industry)whatever his personal life may have been

What husband yaar .. dude sits on twitter and insta the whole day and keeps promoting everything under the sun except his wife ‘s films. Even when he does post something it looks like a mere formality. I saw some people saying this on Reddit too. He may tweet or put out something today but look at how enthusiastically he promotes his father’s work or his other family members. He even gave a shout out to his nephew when his films poster came out. In comparison , his posts on Ash ..and they are rare look like a mere formality.

It is true. It is almost like he was born to act. He has amazing charisma, unmatched screen presence, his voice and command over language are excellent and his way to emote with eyes is paralled by few.

He is one of few people who exactly pursue what they want, excel in what they do and achieve unmatched fame and acceptance of their work. Otherwise most people rarely have talent or if they have talent or potential they hardly get opportunities or hardly last as long in their profession as Amitabh did. People do not have such lifespan as long as career Amitabh has had. He maybe whatever shit offscreen but onscreen he is unmatched at even this age. He eclipses everyone else and catches attention.

Like he was born to do this work. I am happy he does work at this age instead of causing fights at home and being a grumpy, quarrelsome oldie thinking of past or worried about future or having generation gap and ego war fights with kids and grandkids at home the way most people of his age usually cause tamasha at home and dump own frustrations on kids.

I think it is Abhimaan type situation and Abhishek is not happy with Ash working or getting lead roles or being more successful than him.

The facade they put earlier at Cannes and Oprah show or Miss World stage is slowly wearing off. Especially since Abhishek's potential as main lead was buried and he flopped even in web series.

Ash is not even doing ads anymore the way she was seen in Kalyan Jewellers ad. Loreal is the only ad which goes on.

Bachchans have indirectly slowly stopped encouraging Ash's work and making it clear they do not want her to work. Or excel in her work. These are slow tactics. All families use it to slowly crush women's self esteem and later claim she gave up work herself and it is not they who stopped her from working.

I am shocked how Bachchans promoted Shweta's book and Navya's podcast and company but never promote Ash's work and Ash is nowhere in Bachchan family gatherings or with Shweta or Navya either. Contrast it to Kareena's MIL Sharmila being in her radio show for an interview. Or her husband still doing ads and appearances with her.

Shweta hardly speaks with confidence. Jaya looks angry or rude. Ash has also become less outspoken compared to what she was earlier. Abhishek speaks less especially in presence of family. His body language is different when he is alone.

Their brother Ajitabh is rarely seen with them and it is said Amitabh does not get along well with him at all.

I hardly see this family relaxed or chilled out. Either they have issues or maybe they interacted a lot with elites and royals while growing up so keep a stoic vibe in public and are less expressive or cheerful in public compared to other celebs.

I think they are all more contained and speak less or are more self conscious when Amitabh is around. In interviews also, Amitabh interrupted them a lot in Rendezvous and Unforgettables tour. He is dominating and raises voice and pitch to give signal to others to go silent. Karan Thapar also once wrote how Amitabh shouted at Jaya and took out frustration at her when he was pissed at a question Karan asked him about Parveen and Rekha during an interview shot at their house.
