Okay, first of all, many congratulations for being in the top 3 of VoIF 🥳 I Thought I would congratulate you properly once we meet somewhere here on bolly forum but don't think we had any chat after the announcement of results Girl, I loved loved loved your final entry. It was such a difficult song and you sang it so easily ❤️ Had heard it for the first time but that tune is still there in my mind! Absolutely amazing ❤️

@bold - Exactly. I have said the same thing to him. I love the softness of his voice. And yes his songs choice is wonderful too.

Dil Hoom Hoom Kare - I love all songs of Lekin and Rudali. Many may not have heard them that frequently but those songs are pure magic! ❤️ I am glad you liked it in my voice 😳

talking about variations, I remember reading somewhere that wherever there was both a Kishore Da and a female version of a song, it was usually Kishore Da's song that became more popular... even though oddly enough he used fewer variations than the female singer and he would hit his notes straight. I think they mentioned Humein tumse pyaar hai from Kudrat as a prime example. People remember his version, not as much the female's. What I could gather was that for females, variations are extremely important (and you have that), whereas for males, it was probably other factors- such as throw, power, correct pitching...

Birdie, Thanks a lot for such inspiring words. I got to know about VoIF when wildcard round was announced and I had a very bad case of sore throat, gave few attempts to some songs but it was just horrible so didn't participate.. and that contest was almost never ending 😆 I do not have patience for such a long contest. I would have gone mad by the end, not sure if I would have survived that long though, as all the participants were just lovely! I had a good time listening to all you guys. Except for the 1st round, I was always late for voting though.

Yes personally I do agree with what you have said. Not always but most of the times, if a song has both male and female versions, I end up liking male ones a bit more, it could be because the variations part you mentioned!

Keep sharing more songs if you can. ⭐️

There's one song from Lekin - Mai ek sadi se baithi hoon. Wo song maine repeat mode me khoob suna tha. 😆I really loved that song too. Plus jhoothe naina and araj mhario bhi. yaara seeli seeli to khair tha hi famous.

Oh and Kesariya balma too ❤️

P.S. I am not comparing any singer. Every singer has their own style. I love all three singers: Kishore da, Hemant da and Manna da. But wouldn't it be wrong to generalize that variations are not important for male singers?

I was trying main ek sadi se the other day but wasn't satisfied with the result 😆 so didn't post it. May be 1 2 din me fir se try karti hun.. 😆
