My boss’ voice as he says good morning to everyone he sees in the hallway

Gratitude from patients when the right combination of antidepressants and therapy finally starts working for them

Going to my parents’s house unannounced because I am hungry and can’t cook for shite so I raid my mom’s fridge instead

Talking to friends from a decade ago and feeling like time never passed

Annoying the shite out of my siblings with my obsession with spooky shite

Finding a random crystal shop in a new town

Buying crystals

Singing old Hindi songs while driving to work

Honestly static spots that I could call my happy places put me in a lane full of nostalgia and that tastes bittersweet. So at this point my definition of happy place is more dynamic in nature. It is a great conversation over a couple of beers after a tiring day, a low key party or a gathering of friends who have been with you through thick and thin, cooking a nice meal for the people you love, watching a movie with family and sharing a few jokes, striking good conversations at unexpected places and simply learning new things on the go.
