I always thought that if ever there would be a third installment of aashqui then kartik should be roped in and its finally happening.

Association with Bhushan Kumar is helping him to do way better than what dharma could've done to his career.

Kartik Aaryan is truly in a league of his own at the moment. After delivering a string of hits over the last few years, the Shehzada of Bollywood has been on a film signing spree lately.

After bagging Kabir Khan’s untitled next, Kartik is now set to headline the third instalment of Aashiqui. Yes, you read that right! The makers of the blockbuster franchise have decided to take it forward and have zeroed in on Kartik as the lead.

Along with a fresh cast, Aashiqui 3, to be bankrolled by T-Series and Vishesh Films, will also have a new director in Anurag Basu. The songs will be composed by none other than Pritam.

Announcing the mega project, Mukesh Bhatt of Vishesh Films told Variety, “On the evening of August 16, 1990, a day before the Aashiqui release, Gulshanji (Gulshan Kumar) and me were very nervous, the next day records were broken and history was created. Today with Bhushan Kumar), Pritam, Anurag and the heartthrob of the nation Kartik, I assure everyone that Aashiqui 3 will celebrate love like never before.”

Sharing his excitement about becoming a part of one of the most-loved franchises, Kartik said, “The timeless classic Aashiqui is something I grew up watching and working on Aashiqui 3 is like a dream come true. I feel privileged yet grateful collaborating with Bhushan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt for this opportunity. I have been a big fan of Anurag Basu’s work and collaborating with him on this one will definitely shape me in many ways.”

Heaping praise on Kartik, Anurag said that he is looking forward to working with him. “It’d be my first venture with Kartik Aaryan, who is known for his hard work, dedication, grit and determination towards his work and I’m truly looking forward to this one,” said the Barfi! director.

The movie s music would be insane though.

From his upcoming batch, this movie is the only sequel.

Around 2016 this movie was informally announced with Sid and Alia and directed by Mohit. I get why Sid is out. I even get why Alia is out after Sadak2. But why is Mohit out of his own family’s production specially since he was so successful with Aashiqui2.
