Sexism and racism means treating one group unfairly against the other. If I treat my daughter badly because I wanted a boy instead, then that is sexist. Simply wanting baby boy isn't sexist.

Nothing wrong in wanting a boy or a girl. But being a celebrity, barking out loud, you want 2 boys, in a country where people rampantly kill female fetus is just carelessness and ignorance. It shows her intelligence level (which I know she lacks).

Few days back a person killed his wife and small daughters just because his wife delivered another girl for 3rd time.

In my hospital, I have seen delivery cases where in laws never give 2nd glance to their DIL and new born if its a girl.

It's nothing wrong Alia wanting 2 boys, she should have kept that to herself or her naujawan husband or misogynist MIL, to please her.

What’s wrong in making preference known

I have one boy and now I hope for two more kids. Both girls

So I can have order if 1 boy 2 girls. Like Homer Simpson 😆

You live in the U.S. where female feticide is not common just because they're female.

You can have your preference, but in a country like India, a celeb saying it does become an excuse.

No, Alia is not responsible directly for anything they might do, but 2 spoonfuls of awareness might made her refrain from saying it.

Nothing wrong in making your preference known. But in a country where people always prefer boys over girls, a celebrity declaring her preference is like aag mein ghee daaling thing. Everyone have preferences and Aloo has her own, but she shouldn't have said that loud, just my opinion.

Agree.. celebrities should watch their words carefully in such sensitive matters...

I donot think Alia might have thought so much before saying these things . She does not have that much IQ in these matters for sure...

Rest wants a girl or boy is individual choice ..

Merko ye choice nahi samaj ata, when you prefer something and you don't get it to fir disappointment to hoga na? 1second ka hi sahi, Baby me kya preference, let biology do the job and parents can have preference over things they can control

Ofcourse we cannot control preferences in natural births (IVF and IUI different) but it's natural to wish for a boy or girl. A generation who has only boys want a girl child and vice versa...
