After rewatching the whole clip a few times.
Chris made a joke in poor taste.
Will was laughing at it while Jada cringed.
Will sees his wife upset and decides the best course of action is to punch the guy.
Not cool. A better person would have checked in on the upset person. Apologize for laughing first. Then make a plan to address it with civility.
Chris on the other hand handled himself well. A lot of people show rage and aggression when attacked. He managed to check his emotions. Laugh it off and move on.
Comedians in general need to learn to check themselves and realize that jokes shouldn't hurt others. For the most part, comedians don't want to hurt people. The industry has a history that needs unlearning. But violence doesn't teach anyone to anything. None of us miraculously learned stuff when our teachers rapped our knuckles for not knowing something or giving wrong answers.
Will lost his cool. It's Ok. People do get knee-jerk reactions when upset. But he probably needs some anger management therapy. Esp if he goes from laughing at a joke to slapping the comic for it. That's some strange zero to 100 shit.
