My point … Madhuri may not be a better actress than Tabbu or Vidya… likewise Alia is also not a better actress than Madhuri… understand this… when Madhuri was reigning Bollywood … everyone considered her to be the best actress of current generation… but none of Madhuri fans started comparing her to the likes of Meena kumari or Madhubala saying Madhuri is better in terms of acting.., so plzzz praise Alia as much as you want but leave the icons alone…

Have you seen Abhishek’s first ten movies or so? They all were all sucky B grade type movies. Abhishek didn’t get a Highway as his second movie, or a Dharma romcom like Dulhania movies or 2States as her third and fourth movie. After several years and over ten flops he finally got a multi starter Dhoom which became a hit. But it wasn’t until Mani Ratnam’s Yuva that people started calling him a good actor.

Same thing with all the other star kids. Yes they all got a lot of opportunities. Some of them got big launches. But none of them got great scripts handed to them like Alia. Yes Alia is a good actor but then again it’s easy for your talent to shine in good roles.

The Meryl Streep comparison was started by her brother who is her family. And to say that her PR didn’t milk that is just funny. Of course they did. In a lot of ways her PR is the smartest of everyone else’s. She herself keeps quiet and let’s the media and social media go overboard with how awesome she is. Like the Akhtars compliments, or Sharmila Tagore writing an essay about her. Heck they even used Kangana’s “it’s Alia’s world, we are just living in it” numerous times.

No that is not what you said....😳.you said "actresses if anyone you has been able to match Amitabh’s stardom it’s only Madhuri"......... that Madhuri matched AB Sr's stardom....which is ridiculous...no one can match AB Sr's stardom......you can consider Madhuri the biggest female superstar....and that is debatable.....but she or no one else can match AB Sr's stardom.....😆

Alia has had her pick of directors and the industry support like Varun too. But she has been very careful in her selection of films. You would never see Alia in a Pathaan or Tiger Zinda Hai. Even with RRR, she is careful to get herself credited as a cameo. Neither have some of her choices been obvious hits on paper. She was working with Ritesh Batra at some point, no one else in Bollywood was trying to work with him despite just delivering Lunchbox.

Look at how Deepika's films with Meghna and Shakun fared. Or Sara, who had a way bigger PR blitz on arrival than Alia and lot more people rooting for her on arrival. Sara exclusively sticks to safe films and refuses to take a single risk and simply doesn't see any returns either.

Alia is more PR than talent, Sure. An outsider like Alia won't cut it. But she is almost certainly more talented and way smarter than all the star-kids post Ranbir, with the exception of possibly Varun.
