About XXX years back, I was juggling school and work. One particularly trying day, I got off at a train stop, and started power walking at the speed of 10mph to make it to work on time.

It was the morning rush hour. I was frantically trying to speed through every crosswalk before the timer of that walking signal flashed 0. I would run if there was only 2 seconds left but I refused to wait.

So, about half way through, this guy walking my way with an equal force and speed from across the street, probably rushing to HIS work, collided right into me. We both toppled and fell ......and I found myself on top of him the next second. 😵

The most MORTIFYING bit, i.e. me physically on top of him, lasted approximately 0.5 microseconds before I quickly jumped up and back on my feet like a ninja to dust myself off and because I would have DIED, had it lasted any longer than 0.5 ms!

He kept asking me if I was okay but I was so, SO humiliated that I couldn't even make eye contact with him, let alone answer him coherently. I said I'm fine and hope he was too and couldn't hop out of the scene fast enough!

Since I was incorrigible and aadat se majboor, I still managed to size him up quickly.

Good-looking? Check, Hair? Check, Crisp and suited? Check.

Did I look like I just crawled out of a cave while juggling school and work? Check

Did I hurt him? I don't know and didn't care cuz he was well padded with the suit! 🤷‍♀️ Whereas I took home bruises and scrapes...... and an ego that died a thousand deaths. 💔

LMAO. This sounds more like a lucky encounter than embarrassing. Like Mishhh said, the beginning of some kind of love story. Unlike you, I’ve had two instances, which began like a romantic film but ended in a tragedy.

Story # 1

I was walking when I bumped into someone and lost my footing, so I began to fall back. The person wrapped their arms around my waist and stopped my fall, like the good old TV shows. I’ve always wanted to experience this but just my luck, instead of it being a 6 foot tall and muscular man, it was an older woman who had saved me, wrapping me into her embrace. 🙃

Story # 2

During the early years of going to my first job, I used to travel by train. There used to be a lot of really good looking guys dressed in suits commuting as well. I’d daydream that one day my love story will start from a train ride.

One fine day, I got off my stop and it was extremely busy. Half the train had gotten off at the same time and there was only one set of stairs that you had to walk up to get off the platform. Today it was busy (more than usual) and there was a queue of traffic trying to walk up the stairs at the same time. I was half way up, everyone going at a snail pace, and there was a man in front, just a few steps above me. This meant his ass was in line with my face. This was the exact moment in time when the man in front of me thought it appropriate to release his gas of feral smelling nature right when my face was in level with his butt. So he farted in my face. He farted like no one was watching. He farted like a risk taking dare devil. I was scarred. It also smelled like he hadn’t farted in three lifetimes. This is my destiny.

And I can refer to this post every time you complain about having to read other people's essays on I-F. You, sir, just lost that right, after making others read this essay of yours. 😆

Walked in on a couple making out? How bad is that?

But it does remind me of that one time I walked in on a couple doing the actual deed in public, thinking no one's around. and I best leave it at that.😆

- I used catch insects when I was 3 years old would run behind my mom and aunts cuz they were scared of insects.

- When I was 3-4 years old in school, a girl asked me to bite her hand. I bit it so hard she started crying, my teacher punished me for it 😂

- I was in my hometown at my grandma’s place (was around 15), all my relatives were there too. I was standing at the gate late at night, and a donkey was standing infront of it. I wanted it to go away, so was asking it very politely to move (I respect all God’s creatures), my cousin thought that there was some guy harassing me. He ran over only to see a donkey. To this day I’m teased that I’m friends with donkeys.

- i was in 8th grade, there was this guy in my class who got dumped. He crying and acting that he had no will to live and walking around with a blade. Asking people to cut him. I felt sorry for him and actually cut him and he was shocked (don’t worry, I didn’t cut his veins).
