Good question. I think the film sets it up as open-ended : whether she'll get the chance to make a fresh start and not be chained to the past like her mother (as Naseer and Ananya's characters suggest to her at the end).or whether she'll forever be haunted by her past like her mother, which is Alisha's biggest fear.

I think it's left up to our interpretation (IMO though I could be wrong). I am inclined to think nothing happens since the old woman is 80 years old she can be easily dismissed. Rajat's character worked hard to suppress the case with his contacts in the police (it is implied).

It's really really not. Chapaak was boring and I hated it. Go watch it- you may/may not love it but it's a twisty little film.

The first 75℅ of the movie is basically a sombre and psychological version of Match Point, which was more of a black comedy thriller. Almost every plot point was lifted till here.

The rest was okay, the movie tries too hard. But Deepika did an amazing job and it's her movie.

I rarely miss DP movie post Cocktail but I didn't watch Chhapaak , as the trailer ,her acting especially after acid attack seems to be boring .

Even the first 1 hour of this movie is slow paced and boring but second half is gripping especially towards the end. If you like movies which tells the life of Urban westernised people you will like the movie. This movie is meant for Urban audience.

As the lady remember Alisha by her name I think if it there was one more dialogue,it would be "How is Zain "?So I believe If it was not open interpretation the lady will reveal the yacht incident, Zain referring Alisha as Fiancee and thus the secret will be out .

It would have been a theatrical flop.It is niche.. but it didnt turn out to be as polarising as I expected..or it may be..we shall know in a few months.

Dint had much expectations when I started the movie thinking it would be another EMA story but it was surprisingly good and second half was very unpredictable and interesting to watch. Deepika was brilliant . one of her best roles I guess. Also, It was refreshing to watch new faces as male leads . Sid was impressive . Ananya was okayish. dhairya dint had much role . Naseeruddin shah was awesome as always .

Could be. But would she remember Zain? She remembered Alisha's name because her daughter was similarly named. But of course one mention of the yacht and Ananya's character would put 2 and 2 together about the affair at least, if not the crime.
