Ok I must say, this one movie did everything which hindi serials based on cheating like Silsila...and Bepannaah couldn't do. It actually showed the negative consequences of people's actions which include cheating. U may fall in love with a person, indulge in an affair with him/her, cheat on your respective partner and later end up feeling guilty but no matter what, cheating is wrong and u r bound to face the consequences.

This movie showed the negative consequences in 3 different ways through Alisha's mother, Alisha herself and Zain. This movie is way more than cheating. It showed the emotional and psychological turmoil of two people who could have probably made things simpler but ended up making things more and more complicated and paid heavy price for it.

Deepika was excellent in the movie. She was just amazing as Alisha. Siddhant too was good. I am not sure if I should hate Zain or feel sorry for him. Ananya was kinda ok. She needs more improvement.

I will say, the story is really good but the movie was dull and boring to me. The message was really good.

3/5 from me only for the nice message and Deepika's powerful acting.

Naseeruddin Shah proves that one doesn't have to be in every frame of the movie to make an impact..he was so so good as al's father :) a knockout performance , especially his dialogues at the end of the film were relatable and brought tears to my eyes

Okay, so the first half was slow but very triggering. Especially if you're dealing with mental health issues. I've been battling depression since ten years and some moments really triggered me.

There was a scene where Alisha was so stressed and mentally tired and her Bf was standing over her yelling at her to atleast learn to 'compromise' a bit in life. I lost my shit at that scene. I have gone through that situations multiple times with my mom and I just knew how frustrated Alisha was in that moment.

Another scene where Alisha was a little jealous of how privileged and comfortable her cousins life is compared to hers. That awkward moment hit home for me.

The first half also showed how some people take all their childhood traumas into adulthood. I don't even want to get into THAT.

The "massy" crowd is going to hate the first half. It's too slow and goes a little too deep into issues that general people won't understand properly. Also a bit urban.

The second half tho. Wow. I mean goodbye depression and hello anxiety. 😂 For the whole hour I was like oh shit what's gunna happen now.

DP stole the show 🤌. She was so good.

Coming to the other actors, Sid was good, you could literally feel the sleazy, power hungry aura coming from him in the first 5mins. He played his part well, showed his desperation, turmoil through his eyes.

Ananya shockingly was great too. Tho her character didn't have much meat. But she played the privileged, had a easy life character well.

Dhairya, didn't have much to do. He was good. Not a bad actor. Whatever he was given he did seamlessly.

I don't have much to say about the cheating. The movie was much more then that. Maybe I'm a litte to jaded when it comes to cheating because it's become so normalised in my circle. So at this point I didn't care for it.

Would I recommend this to people who love masala movies? Absolutely not. Only a certain section of people are gunna like this one. It's definitely niche. (I know eyeroll)

Did Alisha’s mom and Tia’s dad cheat with each other there by making her dad give up everything and walk away from all the business/riches and hence Alisha holds a grudge against Tia? .
