Something funny happened.. I read statements of lead actors of the show(Madhavan and Surveen) and in my mind thought.. finally!! we are getting a mature story about a couple. So neither saw the trailer nor any details of the show and straight went to Netflix expecting a "serious" show.

Turns out its a comedy series of an Upper Class Indian Couple on verge of getting divorce!😆 If that was not enough the content of the show is so Upper Class that a Mother telling her Daughter that ask her father to use condom. Daughter asking her husband to talk to his father in law to wear condom. Son in law using carrot and onion to explain wear condom.

Anyways if you like Urban class comedy this show is must watch.

Madhavan: “I think people are quitting so easily. Priority ki vaat lag gaya hai (nobody cares about priorities). Also, there are so many distractions and pressures, especially put by the corporates and trends. That makes you feel inadequate. It’s undue pressure. I think it’s important to recognise what is important. In the end, it all cuts down to a simple life, with a companion. I think if we look at the relationship shared by most of our parents, we will know it’s not so complicated.”

Surveen: “I have been complaining about a few things to my husband regularly. The show has played a huge part in changing a wee bit of my outlook. When I went back, I realised the magic of acceptance. I have beautifully accepted things and now let them take their own course. You don’t need to decide everything, you can let things roll out themselves. And I find that beautiful. Also, coming to changes in marriages now, I think exit has become so easy. It’s so unfair that way since you have an option all the time. I don’t understand how one can be so non-committal about everything,”

I like these insights..so true.

Don't know why as a society today we r so much hell bent on disregarding and questioning almost each n every tradition.

Exits have become so easy..one doesn't even make n effort to make a relationship work.

This same approach will then spill over to other aspects of life..today spouse is disposable..tomorrow one may feel the same about family, friends, career..nahi jamta hai?chhod do.. .badal do.. cycle continues..and then what r we left with?

Phir to sab moh maaya tyaag hi do

Yup as soon as I read their statements I thought maybe finally we got a show where couple would put in efforts to make it work and wile be a good watch. But alas show turned out to be --speechless--

Divorce has become so common these days Its so unfortunate. And you rightly said its spilling over in other forms of relationships.

I hardly see any couple in our generation that is as committed as our parents were together.

Madhavan calls himself a supersrar... Is he really a superstar?

Any actor with a couple of successful movies can be called superstar nowadays

Edit: Madhavan and Surveen are promoting the show here

Still on episode 2. Didn't you find Arya's character too entitled?

He has his own niche fan following but not a superstar for sure.. I'm not a Madhavan fan per se but a part reason of watching this series was that "Madhavan is in it maybe it will be good"

I dont know.. lot of cringe and clumsy scenes there but had some funny scenes as well. The only likable character was their daughter.

First 2 episodes were hard to watch.. Gotta be patient with this series but I guess it get better by the end.

Was that awkward-not-shaking-hands-with-a-teenager-because-they-masturbate in first 2 ep? Yup felt his character was entitled and unrealistic.
