Though it is her own choice and I am sure Vicky as a human being is better than that middle aged woman beater with criminal cases against him, but still she is indeed out of Vicky's league.

I feel sad when high achieving women have to settle for less in terms of life partner or get someone who, forget accomplishments, cannot even stand in front of the woman in looks, personality and aura.

Or maybe women marry such men so that the man can feel only too lucky to have them as his wife, be in awe of her and is perhaps seen as easier to deal with since he is in awe of wife who is superior, wealthier, more accomplished and skilled than him anyway. Dunno.

What's wrong with accomplished women going for less achieving men? How many highly accomplished men marry women who are their equal in terms of accomplishments, looks, and money? Very few.

Yeh toh khushi ki baat hui na? I would've thrown party if the person I don't like would've married someone "poor and ugly".

What is Katrina's league today? And after marriage Vicky becomes more successful and handsome by plastic surgery like katrina became, then he should leave katrina and find his league ki sucessful wife?

Honestly yes. I do think she could have done better, but then it's their life so who cares.

I agree with this. Precisely the same reason why Deepika married Ranveer.

IDK about Ranveer being in awe of DPad but Vicky does seem to be fascinated by Katrina. I saw some clips in which Vicky is asked about Katrina and he clearly looks awed, over excited. As if he cannot contain his excitement when he is linked to Katrina Kaif.

I am sure Ranveer could not contain his excitement to marry daughter of Prakash Padukone and biggest female superstar of that time but I am not sure if he was in awe of DPad or still is...considering he too has been steadily climbing success ladder as a top commercial male superstar.

Whatever it is, Vicky, Abhishek and Ranveer have landed good catch and may still not be believing their own luck.

Most successful, top achieving men avoid marrying women equally educated, accomplished as themselves and even their families do not prefer DIL to be as educated, earning or accomplished as their son. This is sexist nature of society and reflects lop sided power dynamic in institution of marriage.

This is the reason why people still say in India, that it is harder to find a groom for a girl who is highly educated, high earning, successful and often see achievements of girls as a potential problem thinking the more she achieves, the harder it will be to get her married. Jeetendra said the same in 2002 when he was slightly worried instead of being happy at success of Ekta Kapoor and used exact words saying it would be difficult to get Ekta married or find a groom who can match level of her success and power.

Success of women often becomes a disadvantage for them as men and their families do not prefer to marry such highly accomplished women. And if they do marry such women, the woman is slowly expected to give up her work or downplay her achievements and status with time or behave 'as per expected norms for a wife and DIL' at home and not let anyone feel she has been an achiever or icon.

And if women do not conform they usually begin to live separately or in open marriages as husbands look other way. Hema is one example as she did not give up working after marriage and kids as Dharam wanted her to. She lives separately in Mumbai while Dharam lives with first wife and kids and often spends lot more time at Punjab, his ancestral home.

Meenakshi totally left her work, showbiz and country itself. Sridevi also quit work. Madhuri took a break but behaves normal at home as her husband himself says at home she is so normal that no one can believe she has been such a huge star. Vyjanthimala left work.

Deepika, Anushka are still working but it is yet to be seen how long they are able to work. They luckily have supportive spouses.

Highly accomplished women mostly have to settle for less as men equally or more accomplished than them do not prefer marrying them anyway and seek a more ordinary, docile, less accomplished girl to marry and stay home.

Yea I agree those factors are there. But it is also true that highly accomplished, successful, high earning, famous women find it harder to get married, harder to get someone equal or better in stature as a partner. As most men and their families do not prefer highly accomplished women as brides and particularly highly accomplished men themselves often choose girls less educated, less accompanied than them and stay home after marriage.

It is commonly said in South Asian society whenever a girl is more educated or earning - what will she do, the more successful she gets, the harder it will be to get her married.

Keeping that prevailing mindset in view I said it was sad that highly accomplished women often have to settle for less and find it hard to get a partner who is equal or better than them in all departments.

Forget accomplishments, women are unable to get someone who matches them in looks either.

Anyway I do agree a loving, respectful, caring man is anyday better than a handsome wealthy wife beater, alcoholic or druggie who may prove to be a toxic partner in real life.

Vicky is okay okay.but cat looking i dont know,cant say old.but something is off on her face! I saw her last on kapil show with akshay 10 days back may be.Her eyes were no where,itni choti si hoke kaha kho geya, cant find them Face looked odd:/
