Like arriving in a car and all the guests waiting for them, as if they're celebrity and they are their fans and media.😆

Badass or not I believe wedding should be about couple only.. so I really enjoyed this wedding and engraved in my memory. As a Kid I used to say maine bhi aise hi karni hai lol.

Sorry to butt in, I’ve seen this trend is on rise, girls don’t want to stay with or take care of their in laws but want the guy to look after their parents (not saying about your friend)

Aren’t the guy’s parents equally important for him?

To correct one wrong one doesn't commit another wrong.

Both should take care of each other parents as their own.

I beg to differ. I have seen many men taking equal responsibility of their in laws. Not gonna get into an essay match with you.

Essay match ka fayda hona bhi nahi tha.. I made this thread for those who care to listen to others perspectives. But not everyone is worth engaging.

It's unfortunate threads get locked instead posts be deleted and let other people have a conversation who wants to..

I don't think you were at fault.

Taking care when there is a need is different from staying with in laws permanently. Girls leave their families too. Everyone likes their freedom. Frankly, I see nothing wrong with it.

Also, I have seen girls not being allowed to visit their maternal home even if her parents are ill or they get taunted if they visit too much).

Your question is actually the other way round.. guys are never expected to take care of the girl’s parents.

Why is that when women say they find some ways they are treated to be offensive and derogatory, an army of men rush in to convince them it's not? Things women are personally affected by (and men do not face) are dismissed with audacious mansplaining sermons given to teach women how they are really wrong and should just accept their fate since it's ancient/religious/tradition and you see, the women just don't understand it enough.

When that fails comes the argument that it's really men that are the victims in the modern world. What about them, huh? What about those 1% of cases which are dramatically rising to 2%??

Next step is #NotAllMen. Others might be bad but I am not. Believe me because I say so.

Every single one of these is a bad-faith argument and not actual engagement. Just derailing women speaking out about the discrimination and challenges they have to face including fighting against misogynist/sexist old customs. Instead of doing that, they have to stop constantly to coddle upset men because they can never not be the center of attention.
