Horrific crimes against women have been happening over the years and nobody bat an eyelid. They have done nothing to make India safer for women, it’s only become worse. Love jihad my foot their politicians are the ones that make such misogynistic and vile comments against women. Shame the victim..

What have they done to protect lower caste women from upper class men raping them? What happened in the Hathras case..? They burned her body forcefully.. and were blaming the victim... there are reporters covering the investigation in jail for sedition.

People who think the live jihad law is for protection they are fools.. they just want to make laws to harass people.. just like they made Romeo aka harassment squad in UP.

Do you understand the words, "organised crime"? Luring Hindu women to convert and marry by lying about their own religion is systematically carried out in some places. I know of one instance personally in UP where a poor barber admitted that he was given money and a gold chain by his local maulvi to convert and marry a Hindu woman. It was not published in the papers, it was something I saw first-hand.

Just because you're so awfully ignorant of the reality doesn't mean it doesn't exist. "Yes let's all hold hands and dance away together in perfect harmony" is a wonderful thought, but it's infantile since the world doesn't work that way. Religion-based crimes do exist. And it's a proper racket in the UK as well. Google it.

Also you're right, religion based crimes DO EXIST. And this isn't pertinent any single religion. So if you're passing laws to protect people from religion based crimes, protect them all. For example, the man who was attacked for consuming beef? That was a religion based crime too. But I guess this isn't a democracy anymore so let's protect just one religion. Constitution jaaye bhaad mein.

My friend went on an audit for an NGO in some remote parts of North India where people were forced to convert into Christianity or else, they weren't even given food and were attacked. This was an organized syndicate. But no Republic tv or times now will report this and no law will protect these people. Doesnt fit their agenda, na?

Also, don't know if you're aware, the UP police went and stopped an inter-faith wedding today mid rituals even though no issues were reported by either party. Best use of law, I tell you. Foreceful conversion exists is every religion, even if the media doesn't tell you so. But if this part of the reality doesnt suit you, then so be it.

Bold: If you SERIOUSLY believe nobody talks about it, then I cannot help you. It's one of the most talked-about stuff in the discourse. Forceful conversion by Christian missionaries has been a topic of popular discourse and conversation from decades. I know it because I haven't been living under a rock. Even PK hinted at this.

Also, every sane-minded human being rose up in protest against the Hathras caste crime. In case you missed it. I dunno who gave you the impression that one cannot talk about caste crimes and love jihad in the same sentence. Are they mutually exclusive or something? Or are you just in need of a strawman argument?
