Ayushmann's acting skills have deteriorated?

I watched Vicky Donor and Meri Pyaari Bindu and the guy was a GOOD actor. He kept alive the authenticity of the characters and I particularly admired his ability to eschew melodrama in his acting.

But when I watched Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan and Gulabo Sitabo, I was disappointed with his acting. He overacted/hammed in the first one and in the latter could barely make an impression.

Do you think with success he has become repetitive in his acting?

He was always repetitive as an actor for me. Social taboos saved him. But his acting is still pleasing to the eyes so I don't mind.

Haven't watched Gulabo.. But I loved him and Jitendra in SMZS.. Fabulous movie.

All his movies are like a series with him playing essentially the same role of the guy solving various social taboos in each stint.I like that he is bringing these various issues to the forefront and helping them get the mainstream space in the Cinema. And he delivers what’s expected of him, in terms of his acting in not standing out like an eyesore.So far so good!

It happens, when he came, he was fresh. Obviously, as a new actor, we found something different in him but with time him doing the same kinds of roles , make him look as repetitive. But I don't find anything wrong with that. He is making his place strong there in a particular genre and that's a safe bet . Also, he owns his genre. Doing what he is best at. Created his own place and his movies give some social message. Doing small budget movies and turning into 100 crores. A big thing. I like him. A good actor.
