To pretending he wasn't desirable despite being more attractive and intelligent than most male star kids. You don't think Karan is behind marketing strategies like these? šŸ˜”

I agree with you 100%. Kwk is a platform used to create opinions that Karan wants the audience to abide by. I feel it every time I’m watching that show in the recent past especially with alia. Be it putting her along side actresses with 10 plus years more experience than her, fueling rumors of her dating various costars. And he doesn’t say stuff about her once, he repeats her name throughout the effing show as if he is obsessed with her image and how it is perceived.
I watched the Sid and Aditya episode and he mentions her when talking to sid about dating her ( which I don’t yet believe ..another one of his brainwashing mechanisms to believe we think these men are attracted to her) and he mentions her again to Aditya as if he will want to date her or something which I’m sure he has no interest in her

I sound like I’m obsessed and yeah maybe i am but I can’t help these observations if her name is in every 4th sentence or topic of his. That’s how propaganda works in the industry. Am I forced to pay attention to her, no. I can stop watching kwk. Sure. But why does Someone have to shoved down. Not just kwk, it’s in award shows, on social

Media platforms, on pinkvilla/filmfare pages.

ive followed bw for years and there is something that has gotten over him in the past few years to promote certain people to a crazy level so that they are successful. I’ve never seen it

Exactly I still don't get the notion of how calling out bullies or standing up to bullies was also considered bullying. By saying that everyone claiming that the bullying could have triggered depression is accusing the nepo mafia of murder is a false equivalency. Do they not want us to stand up to them?

THIS!

From my observation, some who are trying to spread this false equivalent are doing it either so their favs are spared from facing the heat or doing it out to feel superior or holier by thinking they are walking against the tide (this is seen on the forum many times, there are some who get the high by doing so)!

Standing up to bullies isn't bullying. If that was the case standing upto many problematic issues would be seen bullying and that isn't how society brings change!

Hitler was one person but standing upto his ideologies didn't mean bullying him, rather the wrongful system he represented! (Yes an extreme example but using it so some understand standing your ground against something wrong isn't bullying)!

Besides if some don't want to understand, so be it! For me as long as the momentum keeps going towards the goal of calling out the toxic work culture of BW even with some outliners, I am a satisfied camper!

Seeing how these Nepo kids are fluttering, KJo trying to seek sympathy by his unfollowing drama, I'll say public's voice has reached loud and clear!

Sushant's death may not bring the revolutionary but even if there's a minor change in the entertainment industry where the so called gatekeepers start thinking twice about their obvious discrimination, his death won't be a waste!

They're quite pathetic, actually. SSR was by all accounts an intelligent man. The nepo gang was likely threatened and resorted to mean girl tactics.

They were in all likelihood too dumb to realize these things have consequences. Or that these things have consequences they would be forced to see unlike the death of a driver or a maid which would get swept under the carpet. Or that the consequences would cause a public outcry.

Problem is I assumed they all had consciences and would be feeling horribly guilty.

Seeing the amount of support they're getting in this forum and the kind of arguments made, I have to assume a certain amount PR involvement and coordination.

Excuses thus far:

1. Oh, they simply didn't invite him to parties

2. Oh, it's the producers money, and he's entitled to hire who he wants.

3. Oh, the audience should've gone to watch his movies.

4. Oh, how do you know for sure the blinds came from nepo gang?

5. Oh, isn't this bullying, too?

6. Oh, what if one of the nepo gang does the same tomorrow?

7. Oh, he was already crazy.

1. First of all, untrue. They did a lot more than not invite him. Secondly, imagine being in an office, and every party, you're the only one not invited. Yeah, not cool.

2. When the producer puts financial and work-poltical pressure to not hire an actor considered a threat to one of his gang, then it's a problem. Adi Chopra for all practical purposes damaged SSR's career to favor Ranveer's. How many movies did SSR lose after Chichore's success?

3. Audience did go to watch his movies. SSR gave hit after hit. Unfortunately, the film fraternity either ignored his success, dismissed it as due to other factors, or gave credit to people like Sara.

4. The nepo gang is vicious but utterly dumb and so confident of their ability to escape consequences, they admitted on television they spread rumors and and blinds.

5. Yes, it is bullying to do the same to you. I hope it doesn't go too far, but having a small taste of the same medicine might help you think twice because you clearly don't have the emotional depth to feel guilt or remorse or empathy.

6. If one of you tries this tomorrow, there will be a lot of guilt to pass around. Problem is there is no other way of making you face up to what you did. Problem is also that the coordinated PR campaign you're running here and on other social media sites tells the world that YOU don't feel any guilt in which case the pile on is entirely justified.

7. Do you have a heart? If you knew it already, why deliberately make it worse? Or is it that you're doing one final smear campaign against him to escape the consequences of your actions? NOTE: This is not to avoid acknowledging the very real problem of mental illness. This is to call out the insinuations of "too unstable to work with" put about by Bhatt camp and the like.

---------

I still want to believe the mean girl gang was vicious but too dumb to realize the consequences of their actions. I still want to believe they feel some amount of guilt. So I'll again say this. The gang did not directly cause SSR's problems. Their behavior made it worse, but they couldn't have been expected to know.

Still, those arguing that KJo, Adi Chopra, Ranbir, Ranveer, Alia, Sonam, Sonakshi, junior Alias et al did nothing wrong are doing so with the benefit of hindsight. They're making that argument despite seeing the very real consequence. If this is not PR and simply members posting... I don't know what goes on in your real lives, so I'll refrain from making comments on the behavior. Try to find some sorrow in your hearts for the life lost, the potential lost.

This! BRILLIANT! šŸ‘

So very well put together that summarizes the crux of the on going issue!

We are missing point here. It's not about who kjo take in to movies or invite to his show. Its about how openly insulting others and the ugly work kjo and some big wigs do off screen by pushing their people and blocking work for other takented people.

This is a big problem. There may be few cracks here and there but majority is offended with this system and the possibility of triggering Sushants condition.

We dont know how many quit and left the industry. Sushant is talented and famous. So people relate to him to share his story. He was sidelined , insulted and most importantly his work got snatched.

Dont move tracks.

Ridiculous if people with their holier than thou attitude think it’s ok to judge people who don’t support their mindless directionless hatred based on speculation and stories. And u have the guts to question my empathy for sushanth?

I empathise which is why I refuse to standby as his death becomes a circus of this guy didn’t help him and that guy didn’t help him and this one said she won’t date him blame game.

Discuss the things like him losing opportunities to films he was promised. How the smear campaign in the media with blinds and baseless accusations . Not a bullshit show on someone’s dating preferences.

Supplier induced demand only works if the customer dosent see through this. Given that everyone does, how come Varun Dhawans last film opened so big? Everyone knows he’s kjos boy?

Honestly I get why people are furious. I just remembered how that filmfare guy made such a derogatory post on Heena Khan when she attended Cannes just because she was a TV actress. Rightfully, he got lambasted for that comment. I’m sure fans of Sushant that have followed his entire career have picked up on things like these from the Bollywood nepotism mafia, so the floodgates have opened.

I don't know if it's right or wrong but I have decided to boycott those every dimwit starkids from now. Those Sonakshi and Arjun Kapoor should not be getting a single film after failure and failure. But see!! And I so wish karma will get back to these shitty people one day specially Alia and Kjo! One day for sure.

There definitely is ganging up happening. Have you wondered how they never support or go into hiding or become all silent at the same time when movies of people who are not part of their camp comes out

everyone goes into silent mode. How come all of them behave the same way unless it's being discussed behind the scene and they plan about it and discuss it in advance.

it's scary to think what happens behind the scene

Some outright refuse to come on his show. Some kiss his ass.

Regarding aalia being projected on his show when soty released, he did the same to Deepika who debuted on the show before oso even released .
Because his friends srk and Farah were launching her:

he praises his friends, runs after successful ppl (rajamouli, Vijay deverakonda, Tiger, Vicky Kaushal, Karthik) and ignores people (successful or not) if they don’t play by his rules(rgv, kangana, Aamir, Salman, Ajay devgan, shraddha, kashyap)

We give his preferences too much relevance and make it seem like his show is some stamp of approval ...all the people he ignored including sushanth managed to bag super hits and lucrative offers without his push.

So he can push and shove his friends all he wants on his show , if we don’t give it importance (which we do ...a lot) it dosent mean shit.

Kashyap and Rajkumar Rao have both to some extent received commercial success. Again coming on that show gives them exposure it is a marketing strategy on both ends. Deepika has not received half the praise the Alia receives. At the very least you can agree she was never called hot when everyone agrees she is plain? The whole world thought she was beautiful and that why people on the show ( if they ever praised her had to agree).

Even if what you are suggesting is true. That people praised Deepika to the same extent they praised Alia. (Again many who follow the show will disagree. Even Farah herself once came on and ranked her last in terms of acting skills.) Than you agree he used a marketing strategy to promote his friends interest or the insiders interest.

Than you say he runs after successful people when they follow his rules. When did Sushant openly challenge Karan Johar. Again he was not a person who openly challenged. He would beg people to watch his films even after they meritlessly insulted him. Everyone in the industry will tell he was one of the most soft spoken and overly well mannered actors. Those successful people who didn't follow his rules he refused to invite. Again you gave examples of people who have at least been invited once. Ajay, Aamir and Salman. Again you once again gave an example here that doesn't fit your criteria. Not only has Shraddha been invited. She never openly challenge Karan Johar. She is one again one of the most soft hearted people who has never even been involved in drama? Forget openly challenge Karan Johar?

Again I agree his show wasn't a stamp of approval. But I will stand my opinion he promoted his marketing agenda there. And I will not ignore the antics of mocking Sushant as being part of his stupid immature behavior he does with his clique. I do feel there was great agenda behind them. From insiders with less successful film than his not knowing who he is. To not finding him desirable. He was more handsome and intelligent than almost every insider male star kid. I believe it was a part of marketing strategy. Just like you pretty much said that him getting Deepika praised was a marketing strategy to help his friends.

Yes, Sushant proved that he didn't need Karan Johar or his show to be successful. Maybe that was what pissed Karan Johar off so much. But that does not excuse the bullying that went on in his show. And no I will not do you a favor as just dismissing it as some stupid antics a part of his stupid show. Your description of the show is spot on. But the intentions behind some of the antics is not.
