Don't hate BW for nepotism...because we all would have done the same....if I was SRK ...my daughter would not give an audition...heck no..

What I hate is the bullying part, putting down others in talk shows, the snobbish attitude, thinking that the TV stars are nothing, snatching their roles, I am against all that and BW people who do that should be called out for it...but nepotism no......I won't say that shit KJo is receiving unnecessary hate...imagine if he mistreated SRK what he must be doing with nobodies ....but I will not blame him for anyone's death....ye entertainment industry hai...privately owned and run...don't waste ur time here. also all those up in arms stop watching the movies of star kids if u don't like them....the public can throw out any star kid...u have that power.

From my observation, some who are trying to spread this false equivalent are doing it either so their favs are spared from facing the heat or doing it out to feel superior or holier by thinking they are walking against the tide (this is seen on the forum many times, there are some who get the high by doing so)!

Standing up to bullies isn't bullying. If that was the case standing upto many problematic issues would be seen bullying and that isn't how society brings change!

Sushant's death may not bring the revolutionary but even if there's a minor change in the entertainment industry where the so called gatekeepers start thinking twice about their obvious discrimination, his death won't be a waste!

Every point you made here is so strong and spot on. About Sushant's death. Even if his death bring about a revolution (again it prob won't I am just hypothetically speaking). It won't fill the whole I feel in my heart about him right now. I as someone who always complained about nepotism fell trap to the marketing strategies of the nepo mafia. Although I never bashed Sushant when he was alive. I did exactly what the nepo mafia wanted to treat him as he was invisible. Even with Kedarnath I fell into the trap of focusing on Sara Ali Khan? I would complain about outsiders not getting a chance. I completely overlooked the all rounder outsider right in front of my eyes. An outsider who was doing so well critically and in terms of box office success with many of us ignoring him, with abusive blinds being planted about him, with nepo mafia treating him as if he were invisible. He was living evidence that a talent found outside of the industry would be superior to the ones found in the small pool found within the industry. All we had to do was point to him and say look? We are right aren't we? Drawing from a bigger pool leads to better results?

He was better looking (without any surgery besides some extra dental care) than all the male star kids with the exception of ARK. He was a better actor than so many wooden faces and OTT star kids whose talent is overhyped. The fact that he received so much critical acclaim with so many powerful forces against him just spoke volumes. His dancing skills were only second to Hrithik and Shahid if any. Once again Bollywood never explored them. He was more intelligent than many of the star kids intellect combined. The only person who came close to giving him competition was Sara. That was prob what bothered the nepo mafia like Karan.

Forget about his humble heart the video of him feeding poor kids or shaking hands with his underprivileged fans. (Star kids don't try to mimic it for you benefit. You will never be equivalent to the dust beneath his shoes).

What if I protected him agains the blinds when he was alive? What if I showered him with love when he was alive? Would he have felt so alone in such a hostile atmosphere? What if I tried to created buzz for him by constantly making interesting discussion about his performances or talents like I did about Sara after KWK appearance. I to some extent feel guilty because I fell into the nepo mafia's antics. I overlooked the evidence of what I kept on saying about nepotism. You will only find some one with one exceptional quality either talent like Alia or Ranbir. Or looks like Shraddha. A full package will only come from bigger pool the pool outside the industry. Sushant being the living proof of that was driving the insiders insane.

Anyways sorry about the rant but it will be decades before the whole in my heart fills.

I read an interview of KJo. He was asked for his response to Sushant's statement that nobody calls him for parties. KJo said that everyone relevant is invited for those parties. even if everything which happens at KwK is ignored, here He directly labelled him as irrelevant. Still ppl are defending this kind of bullying.

As a fan who has been watching him since his TV days I couldn't help but notice how harshly he was treated by the industry especially by KJo and gang, this forum, the media and well after his breakup with ankita some of his own fans turned on him. He didn't seem like a person who would be affected by such things but guess he was.

Last year felt like absolute torture for his fans. Even after success of kedarnath he was ignored.He wasn't seen in any major parties be it Kapil's reception or Ranveer Deepika's or Priyanka's. His fans were waiting for chhichhore believing that things will get better but even then he didn't get any attention. Also negative blinds never stopped.

At the end I would just say I don't think nepotism and indifference from industry was the only reason for his depression but it might have added to it. I don't want people bullying Alia or Kjo so brutally as I understand even they are humans and the kind of negativity they are getting can break anyone. I hope they take a break from social media for sometime and have someone to take care of them. But i do hope the industry feels a pang of guilt for what happened.

I remember during msd days, I was surprised no one made topics abt Sushant and the one or two odd ones ppl were like “he isn’t great” “he dosent have the star quality” “he’s not that good looking” and what not

now all of A sudden the narrative is flipped and ppl act like they were deprived of this talented mans works coz of koffee with karan painting him in bad light...sab kwk Dekh me behek Gaye?

It’s either of the three things

- he didn’t catch our attention as much as someone like ranveer ...accept and introspect that we are the kind of ppl who only give attention to the seekers

- he did catch our attn, but we ignored in which case, how is that any better than what kjo and aalia are being accused of? Take responsibility and share that hate to urself

- ppl Genuinely didn’t think he was all that ...in which case this whole marketing conspiracy is futile since the audience themselves wasn’t interested.

Again don’t deny that some people that disliked him for various reasons like his break up with Ankita would have labeled him that. But I refuse to believe it could have been for his dancing, acting or looks. Especially looks considering the junk in terms of appearance that Bollywood has due to star kids. I can vouch for it. People here actually looked down on him since he was a tv actor and that he was too “overconfident” since he said his and Salman from sultan were the best performances of the year in Twitter chat. His impact in dhoni was underplayed. most recently go read the main tera boyfriend thread when the song promo released. Ppl ripped him apart since his dancing looked “forced”

I’ve heard it countless times on this forum and it has nothing to do with his personal life. I dunt follow anyone’s personal life anyway.

I refuse to believe ppl suddenly love him and want to see more of him and not aliaa or whoever. When they had him , they didn’t appreciate. They didn’t love him. For whatever reason.

Again I don’t doubt people looked down on him. But I refuse to believe one can objectively claim that his dancing, acting, looks were not at par or superior to star kids.

Sushant if anything looked extra shy and scared since he entered the industry. TV actors in general are looked down upon and bashed because they had annoying fans. I’m sure some fandoms were envious that there own star wasn’t getting a break. Once again that bashing died down. He kept proving himself time and time again. People just didn’t pay him attention because besides that abusive blinds. He didn’t manage to create buzz because he didn’t have the means. Being invited and interviewed by a stupid person like Karan would have been one way too. Another reason I feel it was a marketing strategy .

Again from his Kis Desh days many found him attractive. Perceptions like that don’t change. Example would be Alia she has been considered ugly since the day she entered and still is.
