Totally agree on the 'not an outsider' part but I don't think Anil's family did ANYTHING to help him. If they had, Anil and Sonam would have made sure everyone knew about it. They are NOT the neki kar dariya me daal types😆

He surely had other contacts who helped him get into the YRF fold.

yes, its true that Ranveer is not the blue-blooded insider like Ranbir, Alia or Jhanvi...........so no despite being an insider, he wouldnt have gotten so many chances like Ranbir post a debacle like BV or Besharam........

its only cause he is true blue insider, basically from the first family of bollywood that he is hailed as a megasuperstar despite not having the BO success as any of the Khans

That is true. That is the reason I said tho he is not an outsider he cannot be equated with real nepokids like RK or Alia or Varun etc.

I don't think it is completely due to his privilege. He definitely did have more privilege than others, but RK is a class apart actor. Consider his work in Barfi, Rockstar, Tamasha and Sanju. Infact, his work in his light films such as YJHD, Wake Up Sid and even APKGK is fun to watch, he did well. Rajneeti is his much underrated work.

So maybe directors saw that and gave him a chance to work. I am sure had he been complete trash he would be the Abhishek Bachchan or Uday Chopra.

Ranbir's roles are all of man child. Nothing exceptional. Nothing new. And above everything - he's below average. He's just taken seriously because he's a KAPOOR. His acting is medicore.

personally, i dont see much difference in his performance except for Barfi and Rockstar........dont even get me started on the caricature that Sanju is.......

Ranveer Singh can never do Bachna Ae Haseeno or Barfi like Ranbir did.

In the same way Ranbir can never do a Khilji or Bajirao like Ranveer did.

Therefore their roles can never be exchanged overall, period.
