Rahul coming earlier in Kiran's life might have changed him or even could have stopped him from developing more vigorous harmful obsessive feelings which later on forced him to do bad things.

Love is powerful, kya pata Rahul would have turned out to be Raj.

No. Rahul was not a stable man. He needed treatment.

To the person who said love could've healed him. No, again. Mental illness is an illness like everything else. Love cannot cure diabetes. Love cannot cure obsession.

That's a nice thought but that's not how mental disorders work. Thinking a person can fix a serious mental issue with just love is dangerous and ignorant. People shouldn't romanticize these things in real life. Had he been with Kiran maybe he would've had different type of dangerous obsessive feelings like don't step out of the house or talk to other men. Or only do things that revolve around me or don't ever leave my sight. His issues wasn't just that he wanted Kiran, they were deeper than that and went far back, to the loss of his mother who he still talked to like she was alive.

Also we are in 2020 now, guys please if your loved ones are suffering from mental illnesses they need professional help. Your love and support is extremely important of course but they are not magical cure. I haven't dealt with other types of illnesses but I watched my younger brother suffer from severe depression for so many years because we decided to cure his depression with the power of our love.

I don't think they would have lived happily ever after. He would have been very possessive and controlling of her. It would have been a toxic relationship that would be hard for Kiran to leave as we see in the movie how obsessed he is with her to the point where he terrorizes her.

He never loved her. He loved the IDEA of her. It would have been love if he had respected her decision that she does not love him and still wished the best for her in life. That sort of unrequited love would be considered love.

He seemed to have psychological issues and had a lonely childhood. So, I think he felt the need to have an object of obsession that he could focus on to have a purpose in life and to distract himself from the deeper issues in life that he was trying to ignore. This is in no way an excuse for his behavior for harassing a girl and would not victimize him. Unfortunately, there are such men AND women in this world who are like this.

But, SRK's performance in this movie was commendable. I think it was one of the best movies in his career alongside Swades, Chak De India, and Veer-Zaara

He scared Anjali like anything with the phone calls and attack on Sunil. He was warped up.

Whos Anjali ? Seems like you have been watching another movie😆

I think the name Rahul put her/him off the Darr movie and had it mixed up with KKHH 😆. TBH, I was even thrown off that his name was Rahul. Had to google the synopsis to confirm the name (lmao). The name Rahul doesn’t have a psychopath ring to it, so I’m like such an innocent name for such a psychotic criminal? 🤣

And I would absolutely watch Darr if it had gone down the path which I suggested.

But if people find these characters heroic then they need help in understanding the dangers in being allured by the patterned manipulative behaviour by people who have traits of narcism/psychopathy/sociopathy.

You put it really well. Society shouldn't treat these characters as heroes. Heroic means you are idiolizing them. There's nothing to be learnt and idiolized from the characters like Kabir singh, Rahul or any other psychopathic character . They need to be viewed just as an entertainment .
