Even if Kiran said yes he would still be the same obsessive lover and she would know about his obsessive love soon.

I hated Sunny and Kiran too but that's not love, it's obsession and he has psychological problems.

I know that. What I’m saying is I didn’t want Kiran with Rahul or Sunny’s char. I would’ve been okay with all of them dying in the end.

I realize it’s wrong but still....

Dare I say that I’ve found an equally crazy soul mate in this forum? 😆 YES you said it. I was going to refrain from mentioning this, in case it caused WW111 .... but I didn’t want Sunny and Kiran together either. If Rahul had to die, so did all of them!

In face as my manic stage has relapsed, dare I say that I wanted Juhi and her BF to die also when Ramjaane was hung. YOU KNOW WHAT I’M GOING TO SAY THIS TOO. I wanted everyone in Kal Ho Na Ho to die as well because I could not tolerate knowing Aman died on his own.

IVE SAID ENOUGH! 🤣

Rahul was a psychopath. That's not just a fancy word. It means he was mentally unhinged. And dangerous.

He displayed a complete lack of respect for personal space and freedom. He thought he had a right to intrude and disrupt peoples' lives. Entitled. His sense of crossing boundaries was non-existent.

Even if he proposed to Kiran before Sunil, and she agreed because she found him cute, I'm 100% he would eventually murdered her after much cruelty, manipulation, gas-lighting and mental and physical torture.

That's something I would be okay with too but I guess Sunny Deol was a massy hero back then. Shah hadn't reached his peak prime. So that's why probably.

Yash C was quite a businessman.

I didn't watch the movie but i have seen some scenes here and there and Rahul is anything but sane.

It doesn't take much to get over a girl/boy, you will just have to interact with other people and get yourself engrossed in some other activity. The amount of objectification Rahul does to Kiran is gross. Objectification leads to treating women as subhuman and being robbed of their free will. Even if she accepts his love ( He hardly know the girl . Yet people name attraction as love. Weird.) , the only future i see for her with him is stockholm syndrome. Because he just wanted to possess her as an object without caring for her mental well being. People like them can do serious damage to individuals. There is nothing romanticize about Rahul-Kiran.

On point. I’ve always found dark or villainous heroes to be far more interesting to watch. It was like a work of art watching Joker. To tell a story in such a way where the audience can almost empathise with a villain is extremely difficult. I’ve re-watched Darr and despite being more aware of just how psychotic Rahul was, I still managed to pity him throughout the whole movie.

If by "hero" you mean male lead actor as opposed to "heroic character" then I agree with you. I loved Kabir Singh as a film even though I found it troublingly problematic.

And I would absolutely watch Darr if it had gone down the path which I suggested.

But if people find these characters heroic then they need help in understanding the dangers in being allured by the patterned manipulative behaviour by people who have traits of narcism/psychopathy/sociopathy.
