well thats not really an unpopular opinion based on recent posts here.

for me her lead roles in ishaqzaade, hassee toh phasee blew me away.

she should be doing main lead roles only, with good content. and she is good to go. not sh*t films like she has been doing for the past few.

That movie was a main lead role.... And I kept thinking how she is unsuitable and that wasn't even a performance driven role.... I can't say what is lacking but just like Alia and Jhanvi, there is something missing in her....

Well I guess that is personal opinion on what you like in an actress.

Frankly, every actress who has debuted after 2012 onward has not impressed me in terms of having an intangible quality in their screen presence/acting besides her. I liked that girl Banita Sandhu, Sanya malhotra. but even they are worse off than parineeti in regards to their choices

@bold : isnt that what we all are doing ?? you think she is main lead level actress, thats your personal opinion............ in fact my opinion though unpopular here on IF, is what is more evident when her movies release.......

i dont expect her movies to give the opening of the main leads.......but she is nowhere close to even the female leads of last one decade.......even when i consider 'the girl on the train', some other actress (anyone other then Alia, Ananya, Jhanvi, Tapsee and Kirti) wouldve made me look forward for the release.....but not so with her as the lead.....

Indian audience accepted Rani and Kajol, who aren't really far off from Parineeti in terms of looks, so maybe it is time we realise there is something lacking in Parineeti.

Rani was very beautiful before and as for Kajal, her acting stole the show.

And if Kajol's acting can stole the show, why isn't the apparently best actress debuting this decade not stealing it? The thing is simple, Parineeti is not a leading actress material because not only she looks average, but also because she is neither a great actor, nor has dominating screen presence nor has a star quality. She is just a filler.

I disagree. I think you seem to have personal issues against her hence your strong dislike against her. I dont find that credible. what so ever.

Have you disliked all her films, and which films has she not been been particularly good in, was it ishaqzaade cause she I dont see how her performance as a lead actress in that film is sub par? Others yes have been terribly underwhelming but I blame that on content not acting per say.

and many actresses are not conventionally beautiful..say alia. and shes lead actress material? I wouldnt look twice at her..neither is she star quality, just forced. so as a comparison factor between them because I would consider both average looking. talent wise/screen presence,I would consider parineeti stronger. on the basis of film content, alia way better. So, how is this conclusion being made when looks are not a main factor for success?

Who do you consider lead actress material then? sara, ananya, jhanvi?
