She was definitely talented I feel she didn’t get that much success both due to being very average looking as well as being pushed out of content films to make room for a certain someone else (who btw is equally average looking but much less talented)!

But I do have a feeling she’ll stick around...talented actors don’t just disappear once they hit a certain age like glam dolls!

Also why does she keep doing films with the flop Arjun Kapoor?? Really hope there isn’t something going on between them 😣...

And if Kajol's acting can stole the show, why isn't the apparently best actress debuting this decade not stealing it? The thing is simple, Parineeti is not a leading actress material because not only she looks average, but also because she is neither a great actor, nor has dominating screen presence nor has a star quality. She is just a filler.

As for pari, I am not a fan but just saying she was a big thing when she debuted which is why I never took her seriously lol

arent those who dont get credited are usually the ones who flop?

There are plenty of actors who are talented who flop.

So what you are saying is a talented actor who flops and keeps delivering flops should not be acting or get opportunties?

Alia was bigger than Parineeti after her second film (Highway), more popular actually. I clearly remember being around and remembering this

Also Alia's highway was a top 100 film of the decade. her hype factor was signfificantly more than parineeti's. I think what you mean is that a lot was expected of parineeti, and she ended up disappointing people. Alia was hyped from the start and I predicted her success from the forefront.

talent less people are getting constant chances based on favoritism and thats what im not okay with. Sid, Arjun, Sonam, Pari are all good examples.

I also knew Alia would do better. But in the year soty released and this is before koffe with karan or highway, it was Parineeti that was hyped up. Even Sid was hyped up compared to Alia and Varun. Alia even said that Parineeti and Arjun took away all the awards and that had bothered her. I'm talking about that time frame only.

Alia was hyped up only after koffee episode followed by Highway and then two states. People forget but 2 States was also a huge factor why Alia did well, that movie had connected really well with the young generation.

So what I mean to say is that Parineeti was hyped up after her first release but it quickly faded and Alia took the reign.

Not at all. If you saw even before highway, Alia was hyped up. many people said she had a more promising career and that was solely due to industry bias without highway releasing. now if you can get away with that...you clearly have your foot in the door in terms of support.

She (Parineeti) wasnt as hyped up as you think. Alia was very supported and industry hyped. so you are wrong. People definitely expected more out of parineeti. But Alia clearly had way more resources to succeed. Even now she relies on resources. And people esp those in the industry wanted to see her succeed.

Alia is no more talented than parineeti, its the film opportuntiies and being a star kid that has put her at an advanatge..it was expected that she will do better. I expected her to do better because of this, I expected parineeti to struggle..its always been like that.

Today, Alia is still hyped despite being an average talent. she may also fade who knows.

I remember being around in 2014 too and this is certainly not the case.

Alia overtook Parineeti in 2016.

When Highway came out, it was a huge success and Alia got tonnes of appreciation but Parineeti was coming off LVRB/Ishaqzaade/SDR/HTP = all hugely popular moments. Her two other films that didn't work were not released at the time of Highway, so o say Alia was more popular with Highway alone is a false narrative.

Alia scored with 2 States and Humpty Sharma while Pari had 2 duds in the second half of 2014, but they were neck-and-neck. Parineeti was still HOT property. She was offered Piku. And was in talks to do Udta Punjab.

And lets not forget the disaster that was Shaandaar in 2015.

Pari's lack of releases in 2015 and 2016 hurt her stardom level.

In 2016 when Alia had Kapoor & Sons, Udta Punjab, Dear Zindagi she overtook ALL the girls from her generation: Parineeti, Shraddha, Ileana, Yami, Sonakshi, Kriti, all of them. he immediately began challenging Deepika.
