Not at all. If you saw even before highway, Alia was hyped up. many people said she had a more promising career and that was solely due to industry bias without highway releasing. now if you can get away with that...you clearly have your foot in the door in terms of support.
She (Parineeti) wasnt as hyped up as you think. Alia was very supported and industry hyped. so you are wrong. People definitely expected more out of parineeti. But Alia clearly had way more resources to succeed. Even now she relies on resources. And people esp those in the industry wanted to see her succeed.
Alia is no more talented than parineeti, its the film opportuntiies and being a star kid that has put her at an advanatge..it was expected that she will do better. I expected her to do better because of this, I expected parineeti to struggle..its always been like that.
Today, Alia is still hyped despite being an average talent. she may also fade who knows.
As far as I remember, Indian audience didnt care much for Alia. I know cus I remember everyone commenting how she was poor in soty and what not. Only her radha song was raved.
For sure the nepotism deal has helped her i dont disagree.
