Actresses that launched with SRK actually had some talent or faced a fair bit of success.

Shilpa Shetty, Mahima Chaudhury, Preity Zinta, Anushka Sharma, Deepika Padukone.

As for Salman, he has no eye for talent. Uske film mein heroine hona ya na hona is the same. All flowerpot.

She ruined her career by doing sleazy movies one after another ..

I also thought she would be the next big thing. Her and Jimmy Shergill had the best storyline, chemistry and so damn attractive. Jimmy found a lot of success in punjabi cinema. Seems like Preeti wasn't as hungry and ambitious. She also didn't make a lot of filmi connections nor did she network like other outsiders like PC, Aish, etc. to get those meaty/big banner roles.

I remember when Mohabbatein came out and she was clearly the surprise package of all the newcomers. I thought she would give strong competition to Kareena Kapoor, but that wasn't meant to be.

Why anyone would offer Daisy Shah an acting job is beyond me.

Back when I saw Mohabbatein for the first time, I had a crush on Kim Sharma - essentially girl next door. Didn't like Preeti because she was so bland.

Then I grew up and realized Preeti was the best girl in Mohabbatein.
