My mom watched Kapoor and Sons. She rarely watches Bollywood movies, and she doesn't like the likes of Ranveer and Kartik. But she loved Sid. There is something sweet and endearing about him.

I don't think he's as bad as this forum make shim out to be.

IKR?? He was very good in Hasee to Phasee and Kapoor and Sons.

I think his main problem is his script selection. Who does movies like Marjaavan in this time n age? That movie had a C-grade aura.

Yeah he needs to choose better scripts to be successful in the industry, but even if the script is bad, he still puts in a good performance. smiley36 But I guess that is not enough. smiley36

About Marjaavan - The music, Sid & Tara's chemistry, & their acting was good.

Yes, and I have seen a lot of people comparing him with Varun, saying they started out together and all that. But the comparisons are futile.

If you look back, Sid’s not a trained actor. He doesn’t come from a film family, even though he was launched by the flag bearer of nepotism, Karan Johar!

In a comparative picture, while Varun experimented with his roles and also cashed on his Govinda like traits, Sidharth had nothing new to offer or claim as a patent. He was just a simple actor who was trying his fortune in Bollywood.

Sid is good but his movie selection is bad barring a few ones, notably Brothers, Hasee toh phasee and Kapoor & Sons.

I also feel he is not liked by the launde lapades, who prefer a certain kind of hero onscreen. He doesn't fit into that image. He's too much of a gentleman.

He is very good looking..acting wise he fits some roles very well.I loved him in Hasee to Fasee..he was decent in SOTY..but he fails miserably in some roles like Baar Baar Dekho,Marjavan,Ittefaq. His looks makes his acting bearable(most of the times)..coz he is really blessed with a gorgeous personality.

Next up will be Varun's Coolie No1 (which is directed by his father) vs Sid/KJO's Shershaah. It will be an interesting battle. I hope KJO can help Sid bounce back.
