It has been worse this decade in Bollywood. They have literally created a glass world that the Bollywood elitists" view from their glasshouse.

I think what damaged his image was those accusations that was going around by his costar, I don’t even know if it’s was true or false but that damaged his image or maybe he got depressed over that me too movement Or was that me too blind created by someone to ruin his career, you never know. He was a great actor and him parineeti was like a fresh talent when they started it out. He was so young, can’t believe this news. This is shocking. 2020 year has been a difficult year for everyone

I was most active here when this 2012-13 lot came out, I remember how he was ranked as the best of lot considering he had the best line up having films with directors like Shekhar Kapur, Dibakar banerjee, Neeraj Pandey, Maneesh Sharma, Drive (when it was supposed to be Ryan Gosling's iconic movie Drive's remake not the dumped crap on Netflix) Rajkumaar Hirani's next(till his role in PK was revealed as cameo)

One Byomkesh Bakshi flopped and it all went downhill, this thread sums up alot

Well he worked with Kjo, but that guy royally back stabbed him. He sold off a terrible incomplete movie to Netflix. If that same movie had Ranbir, Ranveer or any of the nepo/insider kids, Kjo would have spent more to complete/polish it and released it theatrically.

I don't think SSR even had any brand endorsments with him even after Kedarnath & Chhichhore and considering how likes of Ananya Pandey "bag" such high profile brands even after flop debut its quite evident how all this works.
