Hrithik to play Lord Krishna in Deepika's Draupadi?

Mythology has never had it better in this country. While Nitesh Tiwari is turning the Ramayana into a three-part feature film, the Mahabharata will see its own treatment with the powerful Draupadi being portrayed by the powerful Deepika Padukone. Both the projects are being produced by Madhu Mantena.

We now hear that Hrithik Roshan is likely to play Lord Krishna to Deepika’s Draupadi.

A source in the loop informs, “Since producer Madhu Mantena is a very close friend of Hrithik’s, he is in talks with the star for the role. Playing Lord Krishna is a welcome challenge for any actor. The logistics are being worked out for Hrithik’s participation.”

An added incentive is the fact that Hrithik and Deepika have never been cast together before.

Bring it on one more deglam brownfacing look of Hrithik after super30.

Well for a movie like Mahabharata casting has to be perfect no matter from whose pov it is told every character has to be properly etched out and enacted for the film/series to work

Plus deepika does not needs to pull these trick to present herself as hero drapaudi the character was a hero in itself all she needs to do pay attention to her acting skills and do justice to character

On topic - hritik charming and all but will he be able to pull off Krishna is thing to be seen. You see we are talking about Krishna here the best game player the greatest politician the world has ever seen you need an actor par excellence to pull of this character.

It is Not mahabharta. It is mahabharta through Draupadi's viewpoint. Dp has a central character and I doubt if dp will play sister/friend to Krishna Hrithik.

Krishna does not suit HR. Arjun! Thats what he should be.

Either Arjun or Karna. Not Krishna.

Krishna and drapaudi were friends and soulmates but not siblings

Its Mahabharata no Matter who tells it. The casting has to be write. I can't explain it but once you read the epic or watch the movie you will know how important casting is

He's more apt to play karna.
