Mohit Raina to reprise iconic role of Lord Shiva in Ranbir Kapoor's Ramayana: REPORT

Television heartthrob Mohit Raina is reportedly in talks to step into the divine role of Lord Shiva once again—this time for the big screen. Known for his powerful performance as Mahadev in the hit TV series Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev, Raina is now being considered for Nitesh Tiwari’s much-anticipated cinematic adaptation of the Ramayana, say reports circulating on social media.

This ambitious film project already features an impressive lineup of stars. Ranbir Kapoor will portray Lord Ram, while KGF star Yash is set to take on the role of the ten-headed demon king, Ravana. Sai Pallavi will play Goddess Sita, and Kajal Aggarwal has reportedly been roped in to portray Mandodari, Ravana’s wife.

Mohit Raina’s portrayal of Lord Shiva on television won him critical acclaim and a dedicated fanbase, with many considering his performance one of the most iconic depictions of the deity. His intense screen presence, dignified portrayal, and emotional depth helped elevate the mythological series into a cultural phenomenon. If the casting is finalized, it would mark Raina’s return to the role that defined his career, this time on a much larger canvas.
