Corruption. Canadian media wrote about it questioning how he was able to get citizenship without establishing residency especially because normal immigrants were having a hard time getting Canadian citizenship.

Harper was already out of office by the time Akshay's scandal came out so I guess it didn't really matter on those terms anymore.

Akshay is also lying about getting citizenship after 14 flops because his string of 14 flops happened in the 90s. He got his citizenship in the Harper era which was much later when he was doing well in BW. I don't remember details now but it was around 2007 or 2008 when Akshay was having his usual low budget hits.

Btw, Reshma isn't clever - she is cunning and a liar. There is a difference. PR is about putting a good spin on things but it isn't really meant to be about outright lying and using political IT cells and all the other amoral things that she does. That woman and her clients are vile.
