Priyanka Chopra is being slammed on social media for her 'hypocrisy' after pictures of her smoking on a yacht went viral.

Priyanka Chopra was trolled after she was clicked smoking on a yacht in Mumbai.

Priyanka Chopra, who turned a year older on July 18, continued her birthday celebrations on a yacht in Miami. Pictures of the 'Desi Girl' letting her hair down with husband Nick Jonas, mother Madhu Chopra and close friends are being widely shared by fan clubs on social media.

What has caught the attention of citizens is the picture of Priyanka smoking a cigarette, while Nick and Madhu enjoy cigars. Priyanka is being brutally trolled on social media for the same.

For the uninitiated, Priyanka had released a video last year, urging people to not burst crackers on Diwali. The actress, who is asthmatic, said in the clip, "Please meri saans ko berok rakhiye. Diwali pe patakho ko skip kijiye." She added that the festival should be about "lights and laddoos and love, and not pollution".

Fans also dug out an old tweet from 2010 in which Priyanka said, "Smoking is awful!!! Yuck!!!"

Earlier, Priyanka was slammed for the grand fireworks displayafter her Christian wedding with Nick. Netizens called her a hypocrite and asked what happened to her asthma and concern for the environment when she lit fireworks to celebrate her own special day.

Last year, Priyanka tweeted an ad campaign in which she revealed that she was diagnosed with asthma at the age of five. She wrote that it could not hold her back from making her dreams come true.

"Those who know me well know that I'm an asthmatic. I mean, what's to hide? I knew that I had to control my asthma before it controlled me. As long as I've got my inhaler, asthma can't stop me from achieving my goals and living a 'Berok Zindagi'," she tweeted.

This is not trolling. This is asking a genuine question

Also she used crackers in her wedding. If u r preaching others, then start doing it from your home first or else dont preach. Kids love bursting crackers. People need to stop preaching them not to enjoy. I cant imagine my childhood without bursting them. Now i dont like it but i used to wait for deewali as a kid.

I find her annoying and a hypocrite but how can people not understand that firecrackers during Diwali cause excessive pollution in just one night? Why are they making it about religion? 80% of the list of most polluted cities in the world was made up by Indian cities, we are not just harming our country but also polluting the entire planet and yet we Indians are as ignorant as we can be. Then we have audacity to blame the authorities 😒

People bring religion bcoz they always preach on festivals. And they themselves dont follow

Karwa chaugh again patriarchy. Noone forces it but tv shows has made it cool and occasion to dress up.

Holi - diya mirza shabana aazmi other actresses etc asks us not to celebrate with colours but then they were enjoying at holi party where they all were in colours

Deewali- pollution only on deewali. Not on new year etc. Fact is kids love crackers and one day they celebrate. Stopping them from enjoying makes them sad. And then these actors use them in their weddings. India mein pollution aise bhi bahut hai. Diwali ko point out kyu sirf?

There are many but it will never end. Hypocrisy needs to be called out and people have their choice to celebrate these or not.

@bold : and that 80% happens only in one night in diwali........rest of the year those cities are pollution free, right ? They dont even have bikes in their cities, forget four wheelers........right ?? everyone in those cities use bicycle through out the year, right ?

The whole world burst crackers on new years, but obviously those are eco-safe crackers made out of organic ingredients and thus does not cause air pollution even 1%......right ??

Diwali is my favorite festival and yet I hate fire crackers. With our dense population imagine the amount of greenhouse gases we emit just in one day.Where in our religion is it written that fireworls are essential for Diwali? What is wrong if we celebrate our festivals in an eco friendly manner? The fire cracker ban in Delhi last year was useless because people just won't cooperate same with the odd even system. These same people complain about the pollution in Delhi. The fact is people are selfish and just care about their momentary happiness and don't give a rat's ass about the long lasting impact of their actions on others.
