love this film! ranveer and sonakshi were wonderful in it, i hope ranveer and sonakshi work together again and i hope motwane directs ranveer again
really cool to know that the last leaf used in the film was painted by ranveer, even after 6 years ranveer, sonakshi and motwane speak so warmly about the film, its such a special film for them

Murad, Bittoo, Khilji, Bajirao, Varun.....so many to pick from
The way Murad came THIS close to toppling Varun for me. His delivery of that 'its my gift and I won't give it away' dialogue almost killed Varun for me. Also I don't mention this as often as I should but the way intimacy between Varun and Pakhi was portrayed on screen in Lootera.. it was so gentle and personal. Not sure I've seen Ranveer be with another co-star like that, electric almost. Not even Dee in Ram Leela. So much of Ram Leela's moments are manufactured and lots of things play a part in getting that chemistry but Varun-Pakhi were electric in silence..which was so much more powerful.

I haven't watched the movie but these two songs are my favourite forever
Did you hear the Bengali one? ❤️
Of course as for me, I happen to love the entire soundtrack as it flows so well with the narrative and adds to it!❤️

Unfortunately I haven't heard the full album. Even though, these two songs are in my top 20. I don't know why I never bothered to listen to the whole album.
I might do it now, seeing the discussions in this thread.
I love Lootera for three reasons: Motwane (he has a 100% record in my book), the music ( probably the only film where I can’t pick a favorite song....love all the songs and the lyrics is just incredible) and Sonakshi and Ranveer pairing. That scene where Ranveer tries to give injection to Sonakshi and then tries to pick the leaf and falls are two of my favorite scenes in film, history ever. I wish Motwane would make more movies. He is so amazing at execution.
I love this film so much I make sure I post on a Lootera thread every july! I watched it at the theater on a rainy night and had an early flight to catch the next morning. No regrets at all. It was such a lovely film. Never meant for the box office but for those it touched, it will always remain an eternal favorite.
I was one of the few people who watched BBB in the cinema. Since BBB I always liked Ranveer even watched LVRB in cinema too but Varun from Lootera turned me in to a hardcore fan. This was the movie that made me go, from here on I will watch all his movies in the cinema no matter how bad the trailer is, just for him. Lootera made me realize that he is not a one trick pony and he has a lot more to offer. So in a way this movie made me invest in him to the extent I wholeheartedly made up my mind to watch every movie of his no matter what. He has been growing and honing his craft since then. Lootera for me is more than a favourite movie, it is the movie that made me a Ranveerian in the truest sense. Lootera truly was one of the turning points for Ranveer as an actor. And what a masterpiece this film turned out to be.
I loved this movie
underrated

Sonakshi looked the part naturally. Actors like keerthi suresh had to wear prosthetics to appear the woman from 1940's and 50's. She acted very well too. Lootera would have sure done well if released in 2018 or this year. Its album and bg score is one of the best of Amit trivedi.
I agree Sona is one of the good actors but Keerth is is a great actor. She had to wear makeup (not prosthetics!) bcos she is playing the role of real person and it is director's call. Still it is she who made it work and she became Savitri. She is far greater actress than the overrated Samantha.
