Going by the audience taste in movies, lootera would have never worked at BO, given its slow pace and lack of good music (-sawar loon). Adding the then fat Sona to the equation, reduced the chance of getting good collection at Cineplex.

Golden Dew is totally right. At that time movies like Lootera didn't work but now times have completely changed. Films like Tumbbad, Bareilly, Badhai Ho also wouldn't have done big business if they were released at that time. So yeah the audience and it's tastes have completely changed from what they were in 2013. Haven't you realised that by now? 🤣

Btw I never knew Fat Sona had anything to do with a movie being bad 🤣

One of most overrated boring movies. Cant believe i spend 150 rupees on it. Ranveer's dialogue delivery wasnt clear and only sonakshi was saving grace. I remember going to pee 100 times bcoz it bored me to death. Crap😆 my frnds give me a dhulai at hostel bcoz i forcefully took them😭

And it would've flopped even today. Content movies which work today also have right dose of entertainment. This crap didnt have any. My opinion.

Sonakshi looked the part naturally. Actors like keerthi suresh had to wear prosthetics to appear the woman from 1940's and 50's. She acted very well too. Lootera would have sure done well if released in 2018 or this year. Its album and bg score is one of the best of Amit trivedi.

Exactly. KhaanaBadosh is probably not aware of the fact that all the Indian women in the 40s and 50s were not skinny like in the present times. Sonakshi looked like an ordinary woman of that time and definitely fit the part well.

Lootera 💛 Stunning piece of art. Something that stays with you forever. Its in my top ten movies to see before you die list I love it that much. If Lootera was released today it would have been a sleeper hit,a film festival darling,on the lips of every critic worth their salt raving about it and just..the kind of movie we need today to understand that cinema can be so extremely moving and should never be taken for granted. They got everything right with this. Very rarely does a beautiful movie have an equally soul stirring ost. Music was a character in the movie. Classic. One for the ages. It just released in the wrong era of Bolly.

Never liked it.

Second half has good photography , music is good and like the whole end and last leaf part the movie doesn't work/mesh together , first half is dull with it's snail pace ,it doenst go with the whole jibe ,only movie in which sonakshi was Decent , Ranveer was okay , he would do it better now with more experience, anyway a valiant effort .
