She can’t sing that well either. Watch her in interviews trying to sing. she was hyped because she’s an outsider that’s all. when asked how she’s also a new comer they say she has done some show on disney like people care about that or know about it.

Only her fans from that show know about it so probably it’s them making her this great actress.

If you read my post I already said someone with screen presence and acting chops would shine even if it’s just one scene. Tara didn’t. She was given more than enough. She doesn’t have any screen presence and their were enough scenes to make some kind of impression but she was just bland!

That’s your opinion - not a fact. Maybe you thought that - but lots of people have appreciated her and said good things including some critics too

She's an amazing singer. Watch her singing at ted talk. Besides that I have watched the movie and think that ananya was a lot better that tara. But it is unfair to judge her based on one movie and that too where her role was significantly smaller and a bad one that too.

Exactly. I did like Tara she looked gorgeous but I didn't like the character mia. I wish tara had a nice solo song. The character had no depth, background, no head & no tail. Plus initially she was like villian. The scene where Manav beats Rohan badly, she doesn't do anything and walks away. That was mean.

I noticed theatre audience enjoyed Ananya's scenes the most. She was cute and funny. Her role was better. Tara was just a CSR project for kjo. I wanted to see more of both the girls but full movie wo Indian Jackie Chan ko jhelna pada.

Comment on her acting which is relevant to this thread, no need to make it her bashing post. And check the YouTube comments, a lot of people remember her from her shows and if they think shes a good actress they have the right like you have the right to have your opinion.

Exactly and I didnt mind her performance, she did what she could. I mean what can you expect from a role where all your doing is kissing a guy and dancing with him? Even her intro scene was so lame compared to Ananyas dance intro. The problem was that the character was lamely written. Imo.

If i remember clearly Alia also got criticised for having no substantial role and got mixed reviews for her acting because of it but now everyone's praising her character as if it was some iconic role.

Student Of the Year 2 Has Fair Saturday

Student of The Year 2 is doing fair business as it collected 13.50-13.75 crore nett on day two giving it growth of around 15%. The collections and the trend is decent. The film needed the grow a little more on Saturday but then there would have been a fear of flat collections as places like CP, Bihar, Bihar, Assam and Odisha had some decent numbers when content was just not for these markets.

The above are the places to show drops on day two but not as bad as they could have been. The film has managed growth of over 20% in multiplex dominated circuits. Sunday should go up again but it will be affected by the IPL final. The film has 25 crore nett plus in two days so should get a week in the 40 crore nett range. The film is a franchise but the first film was not a huge hit so the branding does not really come into play and also its only action or comedy films that can only really become franchises in India. It is probably hard to recall one outside these genres and if attempted outside of theis genre they have usually failed but this film will probably get away with it. The first two day collections of Student Of The Year are as follows.
